I’ve been out of business for a while. I honestly felt defeated by the way COVID impacted the economy and human behavior.

I had worked with several business coaches to get back on track, but nothing seemed to work. After much personal development and reflection, I see now that it’s my mindset that needed to be addressed.

I’m hopefully and confident this new mindset I’m building (still a work in progress!) will only take my business and other pets parents to new heights!

I’ve been thinking about all these consumer holidays…
These are 3 concepts we consider when buying presents this time of year: prepare who to get gifts for, then manage to hide gifts from people until we’re ready to deliver it to them 🎁
So why not apply this to your training? 🐾✨
Prepare an emergency recall, manage behaviors with basic recall, and deliver emergency recall when absolutely necessary 🗣
Because is recall is magic…

It’s time for 🌬 For the sake of honoring NEW beginnings 😊🐾
March ‘20 — biz temporarily shut down 😵‍💫 but used the time to get creative 🎨
April to June ‘20 — Virtual training newbie 🥺
July to Sept ‘20 — Worked with an awesome couple in-person on their adorable dog’s jumping greetings 🤸🏾, impulse control, and some coping skills 🧘🏽‍♀️ They learned so quickly and did all their homework, so I felt they didn’t even need me 😅
Oct’ ‘20 — Learned SO much in just 7 months 🤓 but felt like I was missing something, and a little off balance with “things going back to normal” 🤔
Oct’ — Nov’ ‘20 — Paused dog care/training for a bit to explore new knowledge/skills that I felt will still help NYC pets 👩🏽‍💻
Dec ‘20 — tested for my real estate license 🧠 🏡
January ‘21 — Passed and got my license ✅
Feb ‘21 — Felt intimidated by all the new things, wondering if/how I can balance both careers 🤯
SO I used the time to get creative again 🎨

March to April ‘21 — Also took the time to take more real estate classes to learn how to automate a completely new business 🔄 to reach this balance
May ‘21 — Felt great, so I took on a new in-person reactivity case 🐶 Also felt inspired to create super detailed online puppy courses 😃 Because puppy basics / proofing saves so much stress! 👏🏽
June ‘21 — Reformatted brand appearance a bit to feel more organize, develop the brand “voice” more, and to feel more connect to my passion 💛🐾💛
July ‘21 — Made a simple video series recapping all things leash reactivity just for these clients 🎥
July to Present — Got real busy with real estate 😵‍💫 and… Kept the videos under wraps thinking “It needs more” 🤦🏽‍♀️ only to later affirm myself, “We all start with something somewhere!” 🤷🏽‍♀️
💁🏽‍♀️ Having said allllll of that…
