💋KISSES OVERLOAD!💋

Meet little Canella, the precious dachshund who stole our hearts during her 1st vet visit! We hope we didn't scare this little munchkin with all the love and kisses, but honestly, it was IMPOSSIBLE to resist those adorable wrinkles and snuggles!

As we can see from these cute pictures, our vet tech Emily is already head over heels for this tiny bundle of joy!

❤️UPDATE ON MAMA COCO & HER BABIES❤️

We want to share the latest update on Mama Coco and her adorable babies! First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported this little family along the way. Your kindness, generosity, and compassion have made all the difference!

We especially want to thank everyone who helped by checking on this little family, donating, and for simply being there for us. Your support means the world!

Due to Dr. Trakas being in and out of the hospital, we needed some extra help. Thankfully, between us, Pasco County Animal Services, and some amazing individuals who looked for rescue options, we were able to secure a rescue for this little family.

Mama Coco and her 8 babies (since our last update, we sadly lost the smallest one) found a rescue who took them in this morning. If you'd like to follow their journey, consider fostering or adopting, or make a donation to support their care, please reach out to SPCA Suncoast of West Pasco directly.

We're also thrilled to announce that we'll be transferring the $1,615.00 generously donated by our amazing clients to SPCA Suncoast of West Pasco. These funds will go towards Mama Coco's medical expenses, including:

Updating her vaccines
Treating her heartworm condition
Spaying her after the babies are weaned.

As the babies grow, they'll need more care and resources. We know that with the support of SPCA Suncoast of West Pasco and compassionate individuals like you, they'll receive the best possible care.

If you're interested in adopting one of Mama Coco's babies (of course when old enough)or welcoming her into your home as the queen she deserves to be, please contact SPCA Suncoast of West Pasco for more information.

Thank you again for your unwavering support and kindness. We're honored to have such a compassionate community behind us.

FROM SPCA : If anyone is looking to continue to help we of course welcome it. Even if it is sheets, blankets, towels, paper towels, Simple Green cleaner, we are going to go through a lot of that with these crazy 8's.

Contact SPCA Suncoast of West Pasco for more information on adopting, fostering, or donating:

A Heartwarming Story Worth Sharing

This heartwarming tale didn't happen at our office, but it's too beautiful not to share. Take a moment to read it – it's sure to touch your heart!

❤️WHY DOGS LIVE LESS THAN HUMAN ? ANSWER OF A 6 YEAR OLD ❤️

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker ‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.
Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ”I know why.”

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live.

He said,”People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?” The Six-year-old continued,

”Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.”

❤️Live simply.

❤️Love generously.

❤️Care deeply.

❤️Speak kindly.

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you’re not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!
