We teach our crew to catch treats! This requires them to listen and give us eye contact. Yatz is a quick study as we just started the other week!

Standing Stones Prairie Roller- Yahtzee (Breezy x Doc)
Charles ran Yatz in Natural Ability yesterday and received a 112 Prize I! We’re excited to start her next level of training.
We wanted another Breezy, and she’s giving us a run for our money. She’s a sweetheart, goofy, a work horse, cooperative, and has style in the field. Can’t ask for much more!
We decided to add Waggle to our Camping and Dog Travel arsenal! Excited to have that extra sense of safety. The 2nd picture is current temperature in the camper as we’re traveling to Heartlands test this weekend!
We’re loaded down with the camper, all the Invitational Volunteer shirts that our dear friend will be driving to Ohio this year for us as we are flying, 125 chukar, 19 pheasants, and 2 dogs riding in kennels in the cab of the truck that are testing this weekend!

We took the camper to our first NAVHDA weekend as Charles is judging. Timber is living the spoiled life today hanging out with mom while she works!

VC Aero Vom Darz Bór SH
Aero started running SH tests back in 2019 when she was training for the Invitational. The plan was to take a year off from testing with her and pick it back up in 2020- insert COVID.
Charles decided after her time in TX this year, and with running other dogs from , that he would go ahead and enter her in the test. With 2 days of official training before the test- she showed up and got it done in Kentucky going 3/3 to finish her title!

At the NAVHDA Annual meeting, we were awarded a Natural Ability Breeders Award for our 2021 Aero x Walker litter!
This was a repeat breeding of our 2020 litter, which was also a Natural Ability Breeders Award litter.
We can’t thank our puppy owners enough for taking the time and running their pups in the Natural Ability test! We look forward to what comes this year for our 2022 Aero x Walker litter!

While stationed in Germany, this team has done amazing things! Proud is an understatement on how we feel! Jasons tenacity and Charlies willingness to work has shined through yet again. Watching puppies from our breeding program go on and do amazing things, simply warms the heart.
Here is a breakdown of the test Charlie passed yesterday, which now allows her to hunt in Germany!
Brauchbarkeitsprüfung exam (usability test). It is a two part exam and you must pass the first part to advance to the second part.
First part includes:
- field search w/ check for gun sensitivity
- 400m blood track of cloven hoof game
- heeling on and off leash in the forest
- drive hunt scenario w/ shots from multiple hunters
Second part includes:
- search for downed game (duck)
- 200m rabbit drag
Because she passed both parts of the exam, she received two certificates. The first one reads “Usability exam for search of cloven hoof game.” The second reads “Advanced usability exam for field & forest.” In the pictures you’ll also notice the Fichte (spruce) branch in Charlie’s collar. It is called the schützenbruch (shooter’s branch) and it is awarded to a hunter after a successful hunt. When a dog is used to find the game, the dog is also awarded the schützenbruch. Charlie earned her schützenbruch and the traditional horn call after she successfully completed the 400m blood track of a deer.
Thank you to for providing Charlie an amazing home, opportunities, and training. We are forever grateful for our amazing puppy owners!

Mako had a great day today! Unfortunately she did not pass the Invitational due to the blind and heeling.
It’s always an amazing experience to make it this far, no matter the outcome. But when you make it this far with friends, it’s even better. Rizz had a good day today as well, but also did not pass.
Win or lose, we still booze is what we’re going with. But also, these are some badass birddogs!

This right here is what it looks like when you have a puppy with a ton of natural retrieve.
All of these things are items that Yahtzee has brought with her after her let outs so far since yesterday morning. This doesn’t account for the items she had but for one puppy squirrel moment or another she had dropped.
It’s important to have fun, and praise them. We have a system down. We get to the porch, we praise her and tell her she’s beautiful and a good girl, give her a few pets, and then as we open the door she has learned that those items aren’t allowed in the house. It’s a simple process but it’s only helping build on the solid foundation she already has!
Yesterday was a good day!
Logan and Raleigh received a 186 Prize II and Ray and Lucy received a 198 Prize I!
We couldn’t be more proud of these teams!
Today 2 more Honor Point dogs are running in Utility!

Today Charles ran Standing Stones Time For Trouble - Vex and Honor Points Sound of The Gun- Boomer both in Utility.
Vex earned a 190 Prize 1 and Boomer earned a 168 Prize III.
Overall a great testing day! Excited for this crew!!
We know we have been a little MIA with posts lately, but all for an exciting reason!
In addition to all our normal chaos of owning 6 dogs, running a small business, training, judging, test secretary duties, invitational training, invitational volunteer coordinator duties, sending home Aeros litter of pups, and probably 15 other things, we figured we would make things even more exciting!
We closed on a house out of state that we spent a total of 30min in, and then July 4th weekend we were packed up and moved to Kansas!
Charles was offered a once in a lifetime job working with our friends at Standing Stone Kennels. He will be training and maintaining a string of dogs that he will then also be guiding with for a few months in Texas over the winter. Additionally he has some opportunities for videography/photography work as well. All the things he has a passion for wrapped up in one job!
And if if all that wasn’t enough, we were excited to keep a puppy out of the Breezy x Doc litter! We did attempt to get a cute picture of her on the stand- but sometimes you get what you get! 🤣🎲🐶
