Good morning everyone. Wanted to let you all know we are saddened today by the loss of Samie, our black female and the mother of your dogs if you have purchased from us. Samie turned ten this month but somehow suffered a back injury that caused her to go down hill fast. She passed last night. Samie was one of the smartest and most loyal dogs I’ve ever seen. She will be missed around here always. Thankful that she got to enjoy this past duck season with us and got to retrieve some ducks. She loved every minute of doing what she was bred and trained to do.

Hey guys about a week ago Wilson Sanders contacted me and asked if I could help revoke his 1 1/2 year old female black lab. She is house broke but has no other training. She has full registration that has never been filed. She just needs a good home. If you or someone you know would be willing to take her you can contact him directly at 479-629-7074. Wow! Thank you guys for the great pics of your dogs from BlackWater Labrador Retrievers. They all look great. As a duck hunter I have to say I love the ones that are hunting and fulfilling their purpose as water dogs. It also helps us to know that they are doing good at hunting which is what we breed for. Thanks again for the eat response.

All of the puppies got their vaccines today and their vet check. All went well and they are growing fast.

Barks is officially sold. Congratulations to his new owner. All of the puppies now have new forever homes. Thank you all. We will contact everyone next week to give you the time frames for pickup. The feeding frenzy this morning. The round bowl is too small for them all so they are now eating from the long tray. Some are eating "in" the tray.

The puppies enjoyed their new heated doghouse last night and puppy chow this morning. Will try to post pics of the new kennel later today.

The puppies are getting their first outdoor experience today. We just built a new kennel with a concrete pad and an insulated and heated doghouse. So far they like the doghouse best. It's 75 degrees inside and about 40 outside.

Blaze retrieving a goose this morning. Video is a little fuzzy but you can see he did exactly what he was supposed to do.

Blaze has hunted several times this week and has retrieved very well. It's been all geese except one gadwall so he is getting a good workout with it. Hoping for more honkers next week.

Took Blaze goose hunting this morning. He did great in the blind and retrieved like a champ. Was a lot of fun watching him work and do what he was bred to do.

The puppies are beginning to open their eyes now. As soon as they are all open we will post pictures and begin taking deposits in them.

Well guys the dogs have all been training well. Blaze, our male, is really progressing in his training. Looks like training is all they will get this season and no real hunting, the boat is down and my son broke his collar bone last night playing football before church. If he can't go I just can't go without him. Hope all your BlackWater Labrador Retrievers are doing well.
