Who we are-
Hooves to Freedom, Inc. offers Equine and animal assisted activities for individuals ages 8-108. Our focus is to minister to those mental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. We also have specific activities for victims of trauma, abuse, and grief. All of our sessions are faith based and Scripture oriented. Hooves to Freedom believes it is not the people or horses that bring healing a

nd wholeness, but God who uses us and our equine partners for His purposes of hope, freedom, and healing. HTF wants to advance the Kingdom of God here on earth by bringing the hope of salvation and healing through the sharing of Scripture and by working with horses. We are proud to be a Similar Ministry of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Bend, OR. www.crystalpeaksyouthranch.org

“But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

To kick off Thanksgiving week we want to give

🌟 A Big Thank You to Church on the Hill!** 🌟

A dedicated crew from Church on the Hill in Dalton, GA came down to serve in our community, ministering to four different missions. We were blessed to be one of them! 🙌

In the morning, the team divided into groups, each tackling different projects. After lunch, they all came together at Hooves to Freedom to help us continue cleaning up debris from Hurricane Helene. 🌪️✨

They also worked on replacing fencing to ensure the safety of our geldings, preventing them from reaching over and risking an escape. 🐴💪

We are so grateful for their hard work, generosity, and heart for service. Thank you, Church on the Hill, for making such an impact! ❤️

A few years ago Ms. Hil was at the feed store and saw a little pekin duckling that ran right to her hand when she put it in the little pen of ducklings. She scooped him up and brought him home. We had lost our beloved Caspian only a few months before, and the kids at HTF were missing having a duck. Comet grew up surrounded by our students and animals. Comet loved being the center of attention on the farm. He could often be found in the doorway of a stall while someone groomed a horse. Last May, the day after Hil’s mom had open heart surgery, Comet had a run in with a dog that almost ended him. Through prayer, help from a wonderful vet tech, and lots of bandaging over a couple months, he survived what we were afraid would kill him. But Comet had a will to live, and overcame the unthinkable. Comet loved visiting with clients at HTF and waddling around the farm from puddle to puddle after a soaking rain. Sadly, Comet’s body was beginning to decline. Today we said so long to our beloved Pekin, Comet.
