This also applies to keeping appointments at your veterinarian, your doctors, or even your hair dresser. When you take up appointment time and don’t show up, it sucks the life right out of the business, never mind the business not being able to help someone else or service someone else. That is why we have started asking for prepayment of appointments for first time clients.

The office will be closed for LABOR DAY 9/2/24. Dr. Goode will not be available from 9/4/24 through 9/10/24. If you need prescription refills or feel you need to make an appointment, call 719-924-8969 as soon as possible. The office will be TOTALLY closed on Thursday, 09/05/2024 and also on Tuesday, 09/10/2024. If you need prescription food, please call in ASAP as we order by noon on Tuesday’s. There will be no food order placed on 09/10/2024.

The same holds true for their health care. Just because you want a companion animal, doesn’t mean you should acquire one. It is a financial and time commitment. Health care is becoming more expensive every day. Please get Pet Health Insurance. Be aware, if you adopt an older pet, just like in human health care, insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions.

Think about your ability to care for the pet you choose for your family. Some breeds require a lot more care and financial responsibility than others. Don’t blindly choose! Always choose to get PET HEALTH INSURANCE these days. If you can’t afford the insurance, perhaps you should reconsider acquiring a companion animal. Medical care for companion animals is continuing to rise, just like for humans.

Yes, we are still trying to help NEW clients with veterinary needs. We do charge our office visit exam fee at the time you make an appointment to AVOID spaces where we could help someone if you do not show up. This office visit exam fee is NONE-REFUNDABLE for THAT reason. We had a new client this morning that had a 9:30 AM appointment, that showed up a little early. He got irritated because he had to fill out paper work, and our doctor was not in the office or was just arriving. He also forgot his glasses and indicated he could not see to fill out paperwork. If he couldn’t see to fill out paperwork, how could he drive? Anyway, our staff even indicated that he could go home and get his glasses and come back, but instead HE chose to walk out on the appointment. Later he called wanting his money back, which we refused to provide. I am sure you will see an ugly Facebook post! Just keep in mind, he possibly cheated someone out of care they needed, plus it makes us more inclined NOT to accept new clients. Then the public wonders WHY veterinarians are NOT accepting NEW clients. Think about this please! We will not tolerate rude and irresponsible clients.
