The newest project. 5 yr old "foundered" pony. Was told by owner, vet said 2* of rotation. Old farrier trimmed her good once then hadn't came back. Will get pictures of her feet tomorrow before trimming.

Had a good day. Pulled shoes and trimmed a pair of driving mules and a driving gelding. All were really nice to be around. The two molly mules were 13 and 14, guy had had them since they were young. Precious slipped on the ice last year and had a bit of lameness which I think was exacerbated by the high inside wall on that hoof. Hopefully she will come out of it now that she is flat. Jewel just has shelly feet and was trimmed like a horse, not a mule on the hinds. And Sam the 20 something Percheron/Standardbred has amazing feet. Just had to round him off and he was good. Gotta love a good day.

Trimmed a repeat customer on Wednesday, some trims for a friend, and gonna put front shoes on a couple of horses showing at fair that next week. Definitely keeping busy.

Did a nice little mare named Lady today. She was a perfect angel for not having her feet done in awhile. And yesterday, I pulled plastic shoes off Marshmallow and trimmed him. His feet did have a better sole, but he was still lame. They will be taking him to NEVC so that way we know why he is lame, then we can formulate a plan for him to be more comfortable.

Going to put a pair of plastic horseshoes on a horse on Wednesday and 2 trims on Friday. Gonna be a good rest of the week.

Did 4 horses today. Man I'm tired. But have a possibility of going back and try to make one of the horses sound.

I did 3 minis today that had had their feet done 3 weeks ago, yet looked like they hadn't had them done for months. And the farrier flipped them! They were perfect angels for me especially with me kneeling on the ground and doing their feet with my regular horse nippers and rasp. Next on my list is to buy a mini nipper and rasp lol.
