💎Offspring Highlights💎

Recently, the KFPS released the list of highest breeding values for mares in 2023. The list included 2823 mares. 532 of them were daughters of one of our stallions.

💎The top 2 mares were daughters of Alwin 469 Sport Pref AAA

💎The 3rd and 4th highest were daughters of Omer 493 Sport AA.

💎 9 of the top 10 are daughters or granddaughters of Alwin 469 or Omer 493

💎 40% of the top 100 mares are daughters of one of our stallions

💎Alwin 469 had an outstanding 272 mares included on the list, the most out of any stallion by about 60 mares.

💎Omer 493 had 109 mares on the list. The most out of low related stallions.

💎 Tsjalle 454 Sport Elite Pref AAA had 86 mares on the list

💎Thorben 466 Sport Elite had 64 mares on the list and was one of the top stallions on the low related list.

💎Combined, there were 532 mares of Alwin 469 Sport Pref AAA, Tsjalle 454 Sport Pref, Omer 493 Sport AA, Thorben 466 Sport Elite, and Wybren 464 Sport AA

The Questions: Breeding Values. What are they? How to they assist in making your breeding choices? Why choose a stallion standing at Black Pearl Friesians LLC?

The Answers: Breeding values are an excellent tool for making the right pairing combination between a stallion and a mare. The way to do this is by checking the mare’s linear score. If there is a characteristic that needs to be improved, then a stallion must be selected who has a positive hereditary impact for passing on this characteristic.

The degree in which the breeding value gives an accurate picture of the true genetic aptitude of a stallion is expressed in the "reliability %". The higher the reliability, the more reliable or proven that stallion is for passing on that particular attribute to his offspring.

From the North American stallion data sheets, you can see how our stallions rank for breeding values, ster mare %, reliability, along with many other statistics. When we select our stallions, we wanted to ensure we are standing only THE BEST stallions in North America. Proven stallions = proven results!!!
