Hey, how you doin'?
Hey, my name is Joey! The UAFW team saved me today! Before, I was stuck in a closed shelter that didn't allow anyone to come in to look at doggies. They didn't even have volunteers to come walk me or play with me. I was sad there and it was scary not knowing what was going to happen to me. But now I get to go stay in a foster home with some super nice people! I'm so excited to be a #RescueDog. They said I can even be adopted soon! Wow, I can't wait!

Just look how content he is being lulled to sleep in the arms of this little one at our adoption event! 1 year, 26 lbs, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative. $200 adoption fee

Hugo loves to play!
HELP! Our buddy Hugo is in need of a new foster home!
Unfortunately the dogs in his current foster home are not welcoming to him because they are too protective of their space. As you can see, Hugo loves playing with other dogs (he became immediate friends with this Great Dane he's playing with at our adoption event this weekend!). He is so sweet and goofy. Can you give him a place to hang out while he's awaiting adoption?

Senior attacked - unable to walk!
14 year old Willow sat at the shelter for several DAYS waiting for a rescue to help her!! The animal control officer who picked her up said she was attacked by dogs. Her pelvis was severely broken, rendering her unable to use her rear legs. Was it the force of the attacking dogs' bites that crushed her little bones, or was she intensely shaken??? We'll never know for sure, but we did know we had to help her!
Due to the severity of her condition, she has been placed on strict crate rest for at least the next 6 weeks to allow the pelvis time to begin healing. Once she is strong enough, the surgeon will do FHO surgery to remove the head and neck of the femur bone. This is the only option to help her walk again and offer her pain-free mobility in the future.
PLEASE DONATE if you can for her very costly care! Her initial vet visit was $565.69 and the surgical estimate is $1,600.33. This sweet little old lady needs your help!

PLEASE foster me!
My name is Oliver. I am injured and need a place to stay where I can rest while my body heals. I've been waiting and waiting at the shelter for someone to help me but no one has come. Would you help me by becoming my foster caregiver? Please?!!!
My friends at Urgent Animals of Fort Worth will provide any necessary supplies for me - including a crate, food, and they pay for my medical care. It won't cost you anything except a little time and love! If you have any questions, email Jennifer at [email protected]

Look at Zoey GOOOOO!
Great news! We're seeing tremendous improvement! Zoey began drinking water on her own this week! That may seem trivial, but it's a huge accomplishment. Her little body is getting stronger too! Just look how great she is walking now! Knowing she was at death's door just a few weeks ago, this walk is HUGE!!
Our hearts are filled with so much joy to see her gaining ground and beginning to do normal puppy things at long last! For everyone who is following her journey, we know you have been waiting for an update like this! THANK YOU for lifting her up in your thoughts. Your love and prayers is working!
Donations are still very much appreciated since her care is ongoing. ❤

Zoey is walking!
Our little Zoey has definitely shown us she is a fighter! Just about a week ago, we all thought she was on the verge of gaining her angel wings... but we didn't give up on her. Although she's still weak and has some diminished neurological function, she's slowly making progress! We're so happy to report some good news - she's eating well and walking! We're celebrating her small victories and hoping she'll continue on the path to full recovery! Thank you to everyone who has sent their love and prayers!
Donations are still needed to cover her mounting medical expenses, which have surpassed $3500 already. Please help us by giving a few dollars or telling your friends and family about her fundraiser! Every single dollar is appreciated! ❤

Zoey too weak to even roll in the grass 🙁
Our little baby Zoey is still struggling. She went home temporarily with one of our directors so she could be monitored all day Sunday while our vet's office was closed. She still has no strength in her little body. Another concern is that she isn't drinking water and having difficulties/pain with bowel movements. Despite having received Sub Q fluids twice already, she's still showing signs of dehydration. While she is eating well, we're still quite worried about her. She did get to lay out in the grass and enjoy a little sun on her face, but we want her to be able to run and play like a normal happy little puppy should. Please continue lifting her up in your thoughts!

HELP! Special foster home needed!
We want to help this sweet boy, but he'll need a special foster. The shelter suspects he has hypertrophic osteodystrophy which causes pain and swelling in the front legs so he isn't wanting to bear weight on them right now. Our nonprofit rescue will cover all of his medical expenses and provide any necessities for his care. He's a very sweet little puppy so we hope you'll consider helping him! If you would like to be his foster hero, contact us at [email protected]
