With the increased danger of Fentanyl and other narcotics overdoses, our narcotics detection K9 teams work to help provide a safe work and school environment.

My name is Michael Shirey, I am a retired police officer and the former team leader for Montgomery County SWAT- western region. I recently finished a 13-week K9 training with "ScentworksK9 Academy" utilizing my personal dogs, “Goose” for explosives and “Freiheit” for narcotics detection. I do contract work for "ScentworksK9" and have formed my own company, "BatteryK9 Services LLC.”

Our company is not affiliated with law enforcement but is a civilian business doing detection work for rehabilitation centers, schools, workplaces and private homes. We also have explosives K9 teams that are used before and during concerts, festivals and sporting events for the detection of explosives odors and fi****ms. It is never too early to ensure that your clients are safe in their recovery with regular discrete searches
