Please share. Hershey Kiss Update! Hershey is doing so good after her leg amputation. She came all the way upstairs yesterday! And I'm not sure what this means, I need to discuss with Dr. Moore, but I caught her digging in the litter box yesterday after I had just cleaned it. I checked when she got out and there wasn't anything in there, but maybe she is starting to feel a little? I'm hoping! Hershey was very frightened of other animals when she came into our care, but now she is doing better with the other cats and doesn't growl when she sees them. -Ashley
Here is Hershey just being the most normal kitty she can be. You would never know that just 3 days ago she had her tail and leg amputated. Here she is loving her new cat nip "Yeoww" banana toy. It brings me so much joy to see her playing with and enjoying a toy after all the pain and suffering she has endured over the past couple weeks. Hershey is the most good natured and tolerant cat I have ever met. A special thanks to our wonderful followers who helped get Hershey thru this ordeal either with prayers, monetary donations, and supply donations. We couldn't help her without your support! We are still praying she can get some feelings back so she can feel to urinate and stool on her own. But i will keep helping her as long as she needs. I just want her to have a good quality life as normally as she can.
Please share - Video of Hershey Kiss who needs our prayers and help with upcoming medical procedures and bills. Please donate if you are able to. Hershey needs our help.
Hershey. Where to begin? Poor Hershey has so many obstacles to overcome. It's anyone's guess o how Hershey was injured so severely. The specialist Dr. Moore consulted for us doesn't think she was hit by a car but maybe attacked by something as she does have wounds to her leg. Either way, HERSHEY IS A TRUE FIGHTER and fights with a stoic strength I've never seen in a cat. As already posted, Hershey has a broken leg, fractured pelvis, dislocated tail and nerve damage. First Hershey will need first to have her tail amputated as having that done will hopefully relieve some of the pressure on her nerves and give her a 50 percent chance of regaining nerve function to her bladder and bowel functions. Right now Hershey cannot feel to pee or poop. I must help her with this everyday. Let me tell you, bladder expression isn't easy! It's a learning process for me that comes with a lot of frustration, but i must continue to learn and become good at it for her to have a life. She is the sweetest and most tolerant cat ever. She puts up with me doing so much to her. She is on 6 meds around the clock. Bladder expressions which i haven't yet mastered on top of having a broken leg and pelvis. Hershey will also need to either have her leg amputated (cheaper route) or a $5000-6000 dollar surgery to fuse the bones in her leg. I have to make the right decision for her. We don't have the funds for such an expensive surgery., but i will do whatever possible to help her. So right now we are taking it one day at a time. Her initial care was $1000 already. If you can donate anything to help her, it is very much appreciated. We are also in need of large and small pee pads, and baby wipes to clean her bottom. She also loves Inaba Churu Lickable treats that I give her after each bladder expression. I know it seems like a lot for

Sweet little Alice, AKA Ali or Sleeky McShiny. My shy little foster has warmed up! She can’t get enough pets now (I think she’s catching up). Today she finally climbed into my lap voluntarily, plopped down purring, and stayed for 20 minutes. I had to put her down so I could do chores! She even gave me her belly for rubbing. What a change in this sweet baby! This girl is sleek and so shiny you can almost see your reflection in her fur. I think she will remain lithe and petite. She’s a talker. Ali is regal! Looks like a kitty Egyptians of old would worship. And she loves being worshipped with attention. I think the noise and confusion of traffic and crushes of people at our events would set her back SO if you are interested in filling out an application for this angel, I invite you to meet her in my home where she is fostered. I expect her to continue coming out of her shell but I want to respect her journey by not pushing her. Ali is spayed and vaccinated and ready for a loving forever home. https://www.backstreetcatrescue.com/online-adoption
