Thank you to Liz Rich of Harvard Court Galloway for calling Wildlife Aid after seeing these emaciated tick infested babies at the base of a tree all day. They are in pretty bad shape but slowly improving. We can't imagine how many babies are out there that need someone to find them but at least these three have been rescued.

With our drastically warming world we must help the wildlife as much as possible because they don't have the option of air conditioning or grocery stores etc. Please keep freshwater in your yard everyday and if you have a pool please consider putting something like a yoga mat in various places draped over the side so animals that fall in just trying to get a drink of water and have the ability to at least rest on the mat or get out. It doesn't take a lot to be kind and share your yard with the animals.

Four baby raccoons were recently dumped across from Randall's Seafood in Pleasantville. This homeowner from Ventnor Heights gave a neighbor little time to respond that he had trapped these babies and instead drove them to Randall's and shook them out of the trap scared and emaciated because they had been without their mother for over a week. It is a real long shot that anyone will find these little frightened babies and contain them but we have reached out to Pleasantville and Randall's and are just doing all we can to find these frightened raccoons. These kind of things happen every single day In every town and every state, and luckily we just don't know about it because there's nothing we can do to change people who do not have kindness in their heart. That's either something you're born with or something you're taught when you're very young and many people are not empathetic to the suffering of others, whether human or animal. If anyone happens to see these baby raccoons and can get them under any kind of a container or if you have a heavy blanket or towel and can drop them into a trash can, we really don't care at this point how they are contained, just that they are so we can get them. My cell number is 609-432-9249 and Pleasantville animal control officers are aware of this and you can also reach out to them through the police department.

This is one of those times when all the stars lined up to make a happy ending. A friend was driving by where my van was parked watching this baby raccoon in the tree and she texted saying was that you I just saw on the white horse Pike and I said yes I need someone with a ladder to help me get this baby raccoon out of the tree. Well it just so happens she knows someone in her area which is very close to where this was and they came right away set the ladder up against the tree and the baby fell to the ground in the leaves and I was able to grab him quickly. He is not injured and other than being very very emaciated and I'm sure frightened both him and the sibling that Kimmy's safe Haven caught earlier are okay.

This very small orphan raccoon and his sibling were crossing the White Horse Pike a few hours ago and luckily Kimmy's safe haven rescue Saw them and stopped to help. Kimmy was able to get one contained but the sibling is up the tree about 30 ft high. I'm concerned that it will not come down before I have to leave and I'm hoping to find someone that could climb the pine tree next to where this one is. A very tall extension ladder would also probably work. If anyone is willing to come to Galloway please text me at 6:09-432-9249

If anyone is bored and has nothing better to do tonight, there is a baby raccoon in Northfield that's a homeowner is hopefully going to get into a container. It needs a ride to EHT. This has been an extremely busy year and I am exhausted every single day and get hardly any sleep. So if anyone can transport we would greatly appreciate it please text me at 609-432-9249

What a great dog

"One of his dogs traveled the nearly four miles to their camp, which alerted the rest of the party that something was wrong," police said.

Just one more time an animal died a horrible death in a net that no one took down. This poor groundhog I'm sure suffered in this heat while struggling to free itself. Nets are killers and for anyone who cares, take them down and don't use shrub netting to keep out the leaves. Let's have some compassion for these poor animals that have such a difficult time if we don't help them.

Just to give an example of the calls I get on a regular basis, today this person found an injured turtle, texted a picture and did not want to transport to us with the typical excuses of why they have less time than I do. We were less than 15 minutes away from where they were. We do not rehab turtles, but can have them euthanized at our expense if that is what is best, or can often get them to Stockton for rehab if the finder cannot. So this is our conversation after a lot of back and forth:

Please come get this turtle.

I'm not going to come get the turtle. First of all, we don't work with reptiles but I could get it to the vet at my expense and time. And you don't think that I'm as busy as you are? So it's in your hands, not mine. I don't intimidate or feel guilty considering the amount of time and money and sacrifices I make every single day for these animals. So you can say what you want about my lack of concern and it won't bother me a bit. Put it on Facebook for Mays Landing maybe you will get some help. Tell them to take it to a vet, see if they can find one that will work with turtles for free. Take it to Stockton. There you have some options but I'm not one of them unless you get it here.

UNREAL. GLAD I RISKED MY LIFE AND WILDLIFE RESUE WON'T HELP.

I still don't feel bad, you want to try again?

YEA. GO F YOURSELF. BYE B*TCH. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Many people have transported to us from other counties and are understanding that we ARE NOT PAID one penny and put in a lot of our own money to keep this going. So thank you to all who are kind and willing to do more than make a phone call thinking we will drop everything because your time is more important than ours.

These four very young babies were found in a demolished house in Ocean City and we were told had been without their mother for many days. This is what I wake up to every morning and wonder how I ever got involved in this madness.

Someone just sent me this picture and said they thought of me. I'm not exactly sure if I should be flattered or offended. Nevertheless, I thought I should share this either distressed or happy turtle encounter. I'm not quite sure what number three is doing there, maybe he's the one that took the picture.

Well, they've gone and done it again. Let's give a big shout out to An Itch In Time for trapping almost 50 Fox with mange. This latest big boy came from Pennsauken and it's pretty obvious he's not happy about this at all. Unfortunately, his tail and his whole body is in really bad shape so he will be here for quite a while. The tail seems to be the longest thing to heal and probably will not have fur when he does get released but considering it's summer we think he will be okay until the cold weather comes and by then he should have a nice fluffy tail.

I just had to share this picture because you don't get a call that often when somebody is concerned about two turtles in distress. You can use your imagination as to how distressed they may be, and I'm not sure if the look on his face is distress or joy.

Thank you again Michael Gaskill for driving an hour away to get this injured fawn. This is the second time in less than 12 hours that you've been such a big help to us and the animals. We really appreciate your kindness.

A badly injured fawn is contained in Fairfield township Cumberland county. It's on Reeves road. If anybody is capable of putting this fawn in a large plastic dog crate, please text 609-432-9249. This poor animal has a badly injured jaw and cannot eat or drink for days.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO OFFERED. MICHAEL GASKILL IS GOING.

This poor opossum has been laying in someone's driveway in Linwood for about 2 hours now. It needs a ride to EHT. We're asking anyone to volunteer and bring it here tonight. I am one person handling tons of phone calls what seems like hundreds and hundreds of animals and I cannot do it all without help. If you can help please text 609-432-9249

This poor girl, who at one time this year was a mother, thanks to An Itch In Time came from Collingswood with an awful case of mange. It is sad to think what might have happened to her babies, but there is no way that she could care for them and she will certainly die without treatment. There have been no babies seen on the trail camera so our guess is that they probably did not survive.

Another big thank you An Itch In Time for capturing two more Fox with mange and transporting them to Wildlife Aid. This boy has sores all over his tail and tails are so important to the fox because they use them in the cold weather to keep warm and also to communicate with other fox as well as, like humans, having good hair days is so important. He came from Cherry Hill, the same area where our last boy came from that is still here recuperating from his injured tail and an awful case of mange.

Yesterday I had to go on a heartbreaking rescue in Atlantic City on Arctic avenue. This poor mother raccoon had been blocked into the attic by the homeowner and her only way out was this very small drainage hole in the soffit In which she got stuck for over 12 hours. We want to thank Brianna for making the call to the police department, who then called Wildlife Aid. I went over with my ladder and my sawzall and a few other tools I thought might free this suffering raccoon. Once I tried to gently pull her out, I realized it was going to take much more than a gentle tug. It was difficult using the sawzall to cut through the very thick hard wood that the soffit was made of. Every time I try to make some progress it upset her more and at times she even grabbed towards the saw. After about 45 minutes of sawing just a little at a time and using a pry bar and a hammer to chip away at the wood, she eventually shifted enough and fell to the porch. If I thought this was going to be such a difficult rescue, I would have gone with help, but I thought most soffits are made of thin flimsy wood that I could just easily break through and help her. Unfortunately, there was no help and I was not able to bring her home overnight just to make sure she could recuperate but she did after a short time slowly walk off of the porch and down the side of the house. I hope this mother will be okay and this is one of those sad times where I actually lose sleep over how much wildlife has to deal with. A lesson should be learned by this, and that is never ever close holes when you don't know if something is using them as a home. There are ways to determine when to close the hole without having something stuck inside. Please always call Wildlife aid so we can give you proper advice for all.
