If you are interested in meeting Pete, please contact Kelly at (916) 613-1922, or via email at [email protected]. Thank you!
Pete is a beautiful, energetic, teenage, herding dog! Pete is a 2 year old male Border Collie mix; his DNA results indicate he is: ½ border collie, ¼ German shorthair pointer, ¼ lab, and ¼ whippet. He is young, energetic, and without health issues. If you are looking for an active dog to add to your active lifestyle, Pete is the dog for you! He has high drive and could possibly be a good agility companion or ranch dog with some training. He could also make someone a great hiking or jogging partner. He is a very friendly boy and is quite bouncy; he would probably do best in a home with older children or just adults. He loves everyone he meets and does not have a mean bone in his body.
Pete is a lovely dog. He is sweet and silly and loves to play with his ropes (at the boarding kennel, he is known as the boy with the rope in his mouth). Pete is currently living with 2 senior citizens and while he is very much loved and enjoyed, he would most likely be happier and healthier in a home with an active lifestyle. Pete is an absolute love… he is quite happy to be in the house with his senior pack. He sits at grandma’s feet and is happy to keep them warm in the winter months. He loves his momma and is most happy getting chest and belly rubs, as well as hugs and kisses.
Unfortunately, Pete doesn’t get the physical activity or socialization that a young dog requires; it is for that reason that we are looking to rehome him. He doesn’t get out much and would need a bit of socializing to become the best Pete he can be. He needs some training on the leash and needs to learn basic

❤❤ Quincy [Formerly Casey] is an Alumnus of NCBCRA. Our Blind Boy was adopted in 2014 ❤❤
From Dad: QUINCY is arguably one of the happiest dogs I have ever had. He walks with me 365 days per year and is trained off leash all by sounds. He even comes with me in the pool and loves to swim with me.
QUINCY also enjoys racing through the dog door at about 50 MPH and his alpha sister (Zona) and him wrestle about 5x per day. Quincy is the ONLY dog Zona has played with her entire life in this manner
From his Rescuer and Foster Mom: Thought you'd enjoy seeing the herding "outrun" of Quincy. This was the blind BC that I drove with another foster dog (Beau) in tow to the boonies of Placerville & rescued, fostered & found a forever home for with Tim in 2014. Tim had a meet & greet scheduled with another dog named Oliver. He read my bio about Casey & said he knew that was the dog he wanted & cancelled Oliver! I had named him Casey & Tim later changed it to Quincy. Quincy now lives with his sister BC Zona (short for Arizona). Tim & I have become good friends. Tim says as long as he keeps making noise that Quincy is great off leash (in safe areas only, of course). Beau was also adopted.
And to think this beautiful dog was going to be euthanized just because his elderly owner died and there was no one who wanted a blind dog!! Who knew that Tim was the "special" person for this "special" dog!! Just goes to show you that there is always someone out there for just about every dog!

From Mom Stefanie: JACK is doing great. My daughter and her boyfriend took him to a dog fair/fest in Citrus Heights this weekend. He was Mr. Popular. Everyone had to stop and compliment how cute he is and that he is so well behaved towards two and four legged creatures. His favorite past time is playing ball and swimming but mostly doing both at once!! Fetch in the pool! Hope all is well with you.

Jade is a sleek slim short-haired boy who has the shiniest coat ever..... He loves kids, kisses and adventure. He's very devoted and aims to please. Last night he had a sleepover with The Kid and played beautifully with a whole bunch of kids and adults. He is a sturdy boy and is very adaptable.....
