5 Year old non-papered French Brittany. Located near Irvine CA.

Douglas is a beautiful 5-year-old French Brittany. He is high energy and needs lots of exercise and stimulation! He is house trained and protective of the home but typically very affectionate and friendly with people and most dogs. He loves soft blankets and toys as much as he loves running across big fields and sniffing through bushes. He has a very sweet heart, and his favorite thing to do when he’s not running around is watch the birds in the trees. He has great hunting instincts and would love to be trained for hunting adventures.

Ideally his new placement would be a loving home that would include lots and lots of running space and hunting opportunities.

Has not been around children so it is unknown how he would be.

Douglas is mouthy and has bitten the owner - not sure if its lack of exercise, could be rough play? Does not appear to be aggression.

Meet Sammy. A 2021 male hailing from South Carolina
Looking for a new forever home with lots of room to run and hoping for another dog and some kids. He is a cuddler so living with his new family is a priority. Not trained to hunt but shows a lot of interest. He is intact. Nothing wrong with this beautiful boy, his currently family wants him to be enjoyed as he’s just hanging out and needs a job.

Adventures with Koda. We love watching these dogs enjoy their foster care. He will be here for a few more days then off to new adventures with his new home.
His mama is missing him so bad. These dogs are all so amazing and so smart.

Welcome KODA for a short vacation before your new home is ready for you.
So far he got to run in the woods, check out the river and admire the horses from afar. He’s not so sure about them. Tomorrow new adventures await. Good thing he has a new home waiting because Gary and I are such foster fails.

Next week. In the meantime he gets to stay and play with our girls for a week.

It’s so hard to give up a dog, my heart breaks for his mom. What a wonderful human to put his needs first.

The dogs available through our rescue are never in danger they just need a new home for whatever reason their owner cannot keep them - sometimes they are in a situation where the dog is better in a more active home or needs more space. The owner of the dog will always choose the dog's new home and the choice is always what is best for the dog.

Available - Chicago area - Meet KODA
Coming 3 year old neutered male. Koda is house trained and currently living in "town". Koda's owner is looking for a new zip code and these are the things she feels will make Koda happy:
Large acreage, fenced so he can run and play.
Cooler climate - he is not fond of the heat.
Family - loves people and children
Other dogs - yes, he is submissive and prefers to get along and not fight, so another friendly partner would be great.
He wants to live in the house and be part of the family.
Hunting home is great as long as he lives inside.
Koda is healthy and up to date on all his shots. He is a little fluffy because he didn't get alot of exercise over the winter.

ADOPTION PENDING - MARCOS IS MOVING TO NEBRASKA!!

Denver Colorado - Give this boy some love.
Marcos is a neutered 4 year old Frenchie - purebred, but papers can't be located. He is a little overweight due to lack of exercise. His mom passed away and her sisters live in town and he is too much for them, he does not get much exercise. Other family members are unable to take him. He loves people and attention. Not sure if he likes kids or not, they don't have any. Marcos has epilepsy - diagnosed a couple of years ago and is on medication. He only has one or two seizures a month. He is a little dazed following the seizure, but quickly recovers. Otherwise his health is fine. Marcos is up to date on all his shots. Marcos is a little busy and like to jump on people, but they are working with him on this. Anyone in the Denver area interested? He can be transported, but only with vet approval. If you are interested, please email me [email protected] and I will send and application to you. Messages here are difficult to keep up with so I prefer email if you are interested in adopting him.

This is ELLA. Ella became available this week and lived in northern Wisconsin. Again, I had seven applications for five dogs, and the last one was in Wisconsin. I reached out and even though ELLA came with some baggage, she was adopted and picked up over the weekend. I think ELLA is the fastest adoption yet - I already had an approved application on file. Last 2 photos are in ELLA's new home. Merry Christmas ELLA.

This is Cisco. He lost his dad and needed a new home. Because there were five dogs available a couple weeks ago and I got seven applications I reached out to a man in Virginia who missed one of the five dogs to see if he was interested. He was and Cisco lived in Atlanta so this adoption went super fast. Cisco was never posted as available. The owner was happy because it was her brother's dog, he passed away and her mom was unable to care for him. More photos to come.

Hi Cindy,

I received your letter today and want to update you on Hunters progress (aka Speckles)

Hunter is an absolute dream. He has bonded well with my wife and I and took very well to us and his new home. It took several days for him to get to get use to the house as expected, now it’s like he was born and raised here. As I’m typing out this update hunter is snuggled up on my lap

He’s very chilled in the house and a complete terror to the squirrels out on the property. Enclosed is a couple pics taken today of hunter running and chasing squirrels up a tree

I hope all his brothers are now in their new homes or soon to be heading there

It was a busy few weeks at the rescue - finding homes for these boys. They are all neutered, Speckles (now Hunter) and Stick (now Buster) are happily in their new homes. Ready to fly to Alaska is Sherlock, ready to fly to Washington is Sword and hanging out with Mark Dinsmore will be Sherman for some training, then he will be off to Washington.
Meanwhile, another male in Georgia and a female in Wisconsin needed new homes. Found those from the last 2 applicants that did not get one of these guys. Its going to be a Merry Christmas for 7 dogs and 7 families. I'm sure they will all be loved.
I want to thank Mark Dinsmore and Andrea for taking such good care of these guys, teaching them its ok to be dogs and helping them get used to the world. They have such a great start.

Anyone looking for a great dog? We have some sweet young boys coming to the rescue and they are looking for new places to live. All are around 2-3 years old and intact. No papers with these guys, but they are well bred. They are average to small in size, used to guns, know their names and area all pointing on live birds. Orange and white and ready to go. Located in ND. Transportation can be arranged. Please email [email protected] for application and more information. I won't answer questions here, so don't ask. Dogs are safe and happy and can stay at their foster home as long as it takes. This dog is not one of them, but a photo of a rescue that did not make it......RIP Peanut.
