Shevreally is really hoping someone will call and ask if she can be a part of their home. ♥️

Ms. Shevreally will be two on October 30th. She is up to date on vaccines, is being spayed this week and an expert cuddler. She loves other dogs and playing outside. She is the perfect hiking companion! Shevreally was supposed to be a part of our breeding program, but unfortunately, she didn’t quite make the cut. And now she wants to have an amazing family to give all her love to.

Pete is usually around to do the not so fun parts of my job with me, he’s played a major part in building the 3 locations I’ve had so far! Monday he got to experience the best part of the job though!

A private session from a few weeks back with Benji, mixing work and play with the distraction of kids playing on the playground behind us 😍

Bella (bully mix) and Kaia (border collie mix) have recently decided they want to become friends, but they have different play styles. So it’s up to me as the handler to help foster this relationship by guiding them in the right direction.

Ruby has only ever been with small dogs and a few select big dogs with me. She now has a big dog in the family that we want her to be comfortable with. The beginning of the day she was interested in Kaia but unsure (notice the body angled backwards), Kaia is very good with little dogs and giving appropriate play signals to Ruby so we let that first clip play out. As the day progressed Ruby gained some confidence around the others and anytime she showed me she was truly uncomfortable I would call them away so she could have her space. This will help her realize that I have her back, she doesn’t need to be on the defensive and in reality she may want to become friends with some of these bigger then her dogs.

Maddie the mastiff has a very specific type of dog that she’s into. She likes the younger, usually a bit goofy boys. This actually really helps me out! She likes to give them rules and guidelines to play and generally those boys need that reinforcement. It can’t be any clearer coming from a dog vs a human. So I ride this out. Maddie is good about walking away if she’s uncomfortable or not interested, so her following him around along with knowing her personality and body language well tells me she wants this interaction. (Also I realized I spelled guidelines wrong in the video.... but it’s way too much work to fix it. I’ll stick to dog training not spelling 🤦‍♀️)

We’ve been working very hard on Otis the bulldogs social skills and it’s starting to show! Like many adolescent dogs he likes to hump when he gets excited, he’s starting to catch himself and make better decisions!
