Dr. Brian Rambarran, a urologist based in Buffalo, New York, rescues dogs from kill shelters throughout the country by flying his plane to pick up the animals.

In a now-viral video, Rambarran can be seen landing his plane on a rainy day, bringing out the canines, and handing them to the volunteers from the local animal shelter.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Brandon Wolf, a board member of Nickel City Canine Rescue, said the moment was captured to help spread awareness about the rescue mission.

The BISSELL Pet Foundation Empty The Shelter adoption campaign continues today and through July 31.

Adoption specials include $50 on all dogs over six months old, $25 on dogs who have over a 90-stay at GCHS and $20 for all cats and kittens! All with an approved application. All GCHS shelter animals are spay/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

📌GCHS is open Tuesday-Friday 12-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 12-5 p.m. and located at 2010 Arcadia Street in Fort Myers. If there is another pet(s) in the home, please bring an updated rabies certificate.

Keep your pets extra safe this Fourth of July!

July 4th and surrounding days often cause a huge increase in missing pets. 💔 Let's get prepared! Here are some friendly tips to help keep animals safe and calm during the fireworks:

Set up a safe space in your home where your pets can retreat to if they feel scared. Include their favorite toys, blankets, and calming music. Puzzle toys or long-lasting chews can help them stay distracted and happy.

Keep pets indoors. Get that long walk out of the way before peak fireworks hours, and secure doors, windows, and pet flaps to prevent any escape attempts.

Consider using products like calming collars, anxiety wraps, or pheromone diffusers to help ease their anxiety. If your pet has severe anxiety, talk to your vet about possible medications or additional strategies to help keep them calm.
