Please watch your dogs when they are outside, and make sure they have a shady place to take frequent breaks when playing. Also, have water available outside and on walks. Dogs can become heat exhausted very quickly. and heat stroke can be fatal. If puppies, bring them into air conditioning or a fan immediately after play or a walk, and help them to calm down and rest with a drink and something they like to chew on.

👀 Attention from our dogs, like any other effectively created response, needs to come from a place of inspiration.

No one has to force a dog to watch a squirrel dancing across the backyard. 🐿️

🐶 🐶 🐶Attention from your dog is a by-product of effective, inspired training rather than a single response that requires “training.”

When you get it right, your dog will never want to take his eyes off of you, and you will have to create a new response: inspired focus forward towards something else!

Some things to always keep in mind …. Let your dogs sniff on walks and during play! Taking that opportunity away from them would be like making you walk next to someone blind folded or with ear plugs in. Their nose is a big part of how they experience and make sense of the world!
