Companion Dog Training Here at C.D.training we customize our training techniques to fit the individual dog. "You must first teach a dog before you can train a dog"

I began my career at the age of 10yrs with our first dog, Snow a samoyed, from there I began raising leader dog puppies for the blind I went on to raise 8 puppies over the years, in between that time I became involved in 4-h, dog shows,in jr handling winning many awards and winning top leader dog puppy multiple times, attending many 4-h camps and seminars, I began working with protection dogs at

the age of 13, in Plymouth, Michigan under the supervision of a trainer by the name of Chuck Art, owner of Art k-9 school and trained dogs for the secret service and many k-9 units from all over the country, there I learned to train protection dogs, drug and bomb detection, and tracking. As an adult I got involved in training field trials, earning field titles with my black lab Samantha, then moving on to then getting my first German Shepherd, Rosie and getting herding titles on her, and my Australian Cattle Dog Dreamer, I have since owned and rescued many breeds, I have always loved the powerful breeds. I also love to work with rescue dogs, and I like to do as much as possible to help the pit bull breed which I believe is the worlds most misunderstood breed. I do not believe in following a criteria when training dogs...I firmly believe like people, every dog learns differently and at different paces. I start with 3 steps. 1 the breed of the dog, 2 the temperament of the dog, and 3rd the lifestyle of the owner(s), then go from there. I do not believe in 1 week board and trains, I do however believe you can do a 1 week refresher course of a previously trained dog. Some dogs may learn in a short time and then others need more time (like people). training a dog is only the first step when training a dog you also have to train the owner (who 9 times out of 10 requires more training than the dog). If i train your dog and not you then all you have is a trained dog who will work for me but not you. We offer obedience training as well as household mannerism, nose work training, rally and service dog training, and can refer you to one of the top decoy trainers in France who is now here Jax!! if you are interested in ring sport training.
