For a fee ($75-100) visitors are able to check out a shelter dog for the day. You get a companion, the dog gets socialization and love, which helps them become more adoptable, and the Humane Society gets much needed funds!

What makes an ALD an ALD? These three breeds bred over generations are the foundation for our breed. However, it is reported that a few other dog breeds were also introduced into certain early lines. It is the combination of all these breeds that make up what we call the ALD today. The Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA) has been monitoring the development of this breed by maintaining a database of pedigrees and health testing of registered dogs for over twenty years. That is what makes the ALAA registered ALD - A Better Breed By Design.

Katya and Henry's puppies did very well at their vet visit today. At 8 weeks old, they are ready to go to their homes this weekend! They will be about 30 lbs as adults.

They are fully coordinated now! Katya and Henry's 7 week old puppies are ready for their homes next week and will be approximately 30 lbs as adults.

This is great advice!

When raising a puppy, it is essential to ensure they spend a portion of each day separated from the family. This can be achieved by allowing them to take a nap in a different room, for instance. If they have grown accustomed to the children's constant presence during the summer months, they may exhibit signs of separation anxiety when the kids return to school. Even if you are currently able to be with them at all times, it is crucial to practice letting them be alone for short periods daily.

Katya's puppies are 6 weeks old - ready to go to their homes the weekend of August 16. They will be small mediums, about 30lbs as adults with wavy or curly coats. We are loving these playful weeks watching them get more coordinated every day!

4 weeks old is such a fun age! Katya's litter is exploring the world a loves the apple toy which makes the chiming sound when they bump it. They will be about 30lbs as adults.
