an LLC. As the owner of the company, I have more than 20 years’ experience in animal care. I have spent 15 years in the zoo business as an animal care manager with exotics. While working as a zoo keeper, I also worked caring for horses and I spent 2 years working as a civilian contractor for the Department of Defense caring for military working dogs. Before and during college I worked in boarding kennels and veterinary clinics. I made the decision to leave my zoo career and start my own company while still getting to do something I love-care for animals. My family and I have settled in the area I grew up to assist a community I know. I hope you will see the value in what J&M Critter Care has to offer your family.

Our 4th of July visits went pretty well. Lots of ball, belly scratches, a few pups or horses that came in early to avoid the fireworks. We learned one puppy doesn’t like fireworks. This was her first 4th of July. She wasn’t a fan. August is looking busy and we still have some midday walks we would love to see filled.

🥵 🥵. I believe the weather person said today is hopefully the last day of super hot. I sure hope so. A lot of our messages say “short trip outside to potty and inside for playtime” or “we stopped the shade tree to relax”. We still still visit our middays, the visits just look a little different

I want to take a minute and promote our mid-day walk/break package. This is a really convenient service that brings a qualified pet sitter to your home to walk your dogs or let them in the backyard for a while during the middle of the day Monday thru Friday. Whatever you choose. This option is available 5, 4, 3, 2 days a week. Signing up for the program secures your spot and offers a substantial savings on our drop-in rate. Depending on the month and number of days you chose, it averages out to between $14.50-$16.50 a visit!!! That is a bargain for a qualified, insured and reliable service. There are limited spots. Sitting on the end of the couch. 2. walking across couch, balancing on end table, jumping into papasan chair she is not supposed to be in 3.) knocking the whole chair over and pretending like you didn’t do it. She never makes it dull 🤣

Our Story

Why hire a pet sitter? A pet sitter can provide you peace of mind when you are on vacation and prove to be of tremendous help to a busy family or when if you find yourself unable to provide daily care for your pet during an illness. A pet sitter comes to your home and provides care for the animals in your home while you are unable too. Allowing your pets to stay in the comfort of their home can minimize stress to them during your absence. Some pets enjoy going to the kennel. However, there are many who do not. Allowing a pet sitter into your home also has the advantage of not needing to get the pets dropped off or arrange for a pick up upon your return.

Why hire J&M Critter Care? We have experience with a wide variety of animals. The business is fully insured to protect you, your home and us and operates as an LLC. Providing quality pet care is our full-time job and our goal is to have a qualified pet sitter available to you whenever the need arises. While providing exceptional animal care we will also be looking out for anything wrong with your property. If you need the mail brought in, plants watered, trash taken to the curb, or lighting adjusted there is no extra charge and your pet sitter will be happy to take care of it for you. Our goal is to be able to grow the business and be an asset and active part of the community we serve. In our first year alone we donated $750 back to the community in the form of sponsorship and money to adoption agencies and local animal rehabbers. I hope you can see and share in our vision.
