𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑻 𝑨𝑫𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑶𝑹𝒀 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀 ! 𝑷𝙡𝒆𝙖𝒔𝙚 𝙠𝒆𝙚𝒑 𝒚𝙤𝒖𝙧 𝙖𝒏𝙞𝒎𝙖𝒍𝙨 𝙨𝒂𝙛𝒆 𝒂𝙣𝒅 𝒉𝙮𝒅𝙧𝒂𝙩𝒆𝙙 !
As things are heating up this summer, remember to keep your pets cool! They need constant access to cool water and shade! Keep them indoors as much as possible, whether it's inside the house or a shade shelter like a garage. If the shelter does not have air conditioning, it needs to have plenty of airflow.

Avoid surfaces like concrete and asphalt, as these heat up faster than the surrounding dirt and grass, and can cause burns to the toe pads. Never leave a dog alone in an enclosed car during hot weather. Puppies, seniors, dogs with short noses (pugs, Boston terriers, English bulldogs, etc.), dogs with long coats (huskies, malamutes, Akitas, etc.), and dogs that are overweight are especially susceptible to complications with the heat.

Be on the lookout for signs of heatstroke. Symptoms can include:
1. Excessive panting.
2. Increased heart rate.
3. Confusion or disorientation.
4. Vomiting or diarrhea.
5. Bright red gums.
6. Body temperature higher than 104° F.
7. Collapse, seizure, or coma.

If you suspect that your dog is experiencing heatstroke, contact a veterinarian immediately! Remember, if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them!

We have so many kittens in our building and in foster care. We desperately need help with kitten food. If you are out and about today, could you help us out with some Purina One Kitten Food? We are open 1-5!

SPRING has SPRUNG along with cats and kittens 🙀 we have over 200 kittens in foster care alone not counting the adult cats and kittens physically in the shelter . We cannot keep up on food and litter. Can you help our feline friends? We are in need of Purina One kitten and Adult cat food or any good quality cat food. We are also very low on cat litter. You can only imagine how much litter we go thru! We don’t need anything fancy. Plain clay cat litter will do. Our hours of operation are 1-5 Sunday -Monday, Tuesday 1-7, Wednesday -Thursday 1-5, Friday 1-7 and Saturday 10-5. We also have drop off red bins at Food-4-Less (close to the radio station parking lot) , Champions Feed Store and one right in front of our building.
