Meet Julia and Jinx, a brother-sister bonded pair of orange tuxedo kittens!

Julia is the outgoing one and loves to play with just about anything, especially feathers. Jinx is shy, but follows his sister's lead and has come out of his shell over time.

Both have been spayed/neutered, are current on vaccinations, and are litter box trained. Due to their bond, these two would do best being adopted together.

7/30/23 UPDATE: Ares and Hera have been adopted! Athena is still available and in need of a forever home.

------

These adorable 7-week-old babies are still a little shy and working on socialization.

Ares, in all his golden splendor, is a very sweet little guy. Hera, the torti, and Athena, the gray tabby, can be a little spicier, but once they've been fed, they'll purr when you hold them. All three are incredibly playful!

Once they're spayed and neutered in a couple weeks, they'll be available for adoption. Feel free to DM for more info!

***MISSING CAT - CHESTERTOWN, MD***

This little guy escaped from a car at Chester River Pharmacy and was last seen on Pine Street in Chestertown, MD. He had just been picked up from the vet and has a wound on his neck and cheek that needs antibiotics to heal.

Curly, also known as Pretty Boy, is grey and black with a curled ear and looks like a raccoon when seen from the back. He is extremely skittish, semi-feral, and will not respond to his name. If seen, please contact Kent County Animal Services at 410-778-3648, Holly at Eastern Shore Animal Hospital at 410-778-1200, or Krystal at 443-480-8365.

***URGENT NEED: PLACEMENT FOR OLDER CATS***

A few weeks ago, long-time RGCR supporter Brenda Strange passed away very suddenly leaving three very sweet cats who miss her and are now in need of homes.

Because they are older cats with medical needs, we know that it will be difficult to find homes for these boys and are hopeful that you will help us spread the word.

For more details or to start the adoption process, please call Holly at (443) 480-8063.

Mitch: 14 years old, orange and white tuxedo, indoor/outdoor, very friendly and a sweet boy. He's current on his vaccinations and litter box trained. Mitch gets along with other cats and most people, but is not fond of dogs or small children. He would do well in almost any home. Mitch is Tiger's brother.

Tiger: 14 years old, orange tiger, indoor/outdoor, friendly. He's current on his vaccinations and litter box trained. Tiger gets along with other cats, but is not fond of small children or dogs. Tiger is Mitch's brother but is a bit more reserved than Mitch and would do well in a quieter home. He has a thyroid condition and is on daily medication for it. He is also on a veterinary diet for his kidneys.

Zorro: 12 years old, black, formerly feral, indoor/outdoor. He's current on his vaccinations and litter box trained. Zorro is not particularly fond of most people, including children, and doesn't like dogs. He would do well in a quiet home with 1 or 2 people and no other pets. Zorro also has a thyroid condition requiring daily medication and is on a veterinary diet to properly maintain his urinary tract. Once you get to know Zorro, he's a very sweet boy.

***8/23 UPDATE: Firehead has been adopted!***

*****
Firehead and Octavia, half-Tabby and half-Manx sisters, are looking for a home! If interested in adopting, please contact Stephanie Hubbs at 301-928-0028.

Firehead is a high-energy, playful Polydactyl with super-soft fur. She is very social and will do best in a household with another kitten or young cat as a playmate. She enjoys vigorous play and likes feathers, string, and perching high up on a cat tree.

Octavia is a curious, adventurous, and laid back kitten who plays well independently and with her siblings. She likes to explore and investigate her environment. Due to the lack of a tail, going to the bathroom can be difficult for her, but treatment techniques are helping to ease this condition, which has a 50/50 chance of going away completely as she grows, and she has been given an overall clean bill of health by the vet.

Both kittens are comfortable interacting with elementary-aged kids through adults, as well as with dogs. They are currently eating dry IAMS kitten food and wet ProPlan kitten food.

Have you ever spotted a cat who is missing the tip of its ear and wondered what happened?

Ear-tipping is the universally accepted way to signify that a feral cat has been spayed or neutered! This simple procedure is done while the cat is under anesthesia for its spay or neuter surgery and heals very quickly.

If you spot a cat with an ear-tip, it is very likely a feral cat who lives outdoors in a local cat community. No need to attempt to catch it or to worry that it is a lost pet! If you are interested in volunteering to support the needs of local feral cat communities, please contact Holly at 443-480-8063.

**MISSING CAT ALERT**

Mew is a friendly, talkative (lots of meows!), and very loved gray and black tabby who went missing from Allens Lane in Rock Hall (near the landing) between 4pm and 9pm on Monday, December 27th.

Mew is about 7-years-old, spayed, and weights about 10 pounds.

A $100 reward is being offered for her safe return to the humans who love her.

Look at this trio of adorable faces!

Hershey, Starburst, and Skittles LOVE treats and enjoy playing. Having been rescued as feral kittens, they are all still a little bit shy at 4-months-old and would be happiest staying together and/or joining a home with an older cat who would welcome them.

Hershey is the biggest and he is also the most reserved. Starburst is the tiniest of the group and also the most likely to get into things. She loves being petted, especially when it’s time to eat. Skittles loves naps and chin scratches. She is skittish, but will purr and cuddle when she feels comfortable.

These three are up to date with shots and ready to settle into their new homes! Please DM if you’re interested in adopting and would like more details.
