Hey everyone . Gertie is on the last 2 injections next week and she is recovering well from heartworms.
On another note... Summer is here please watch your fur family members.
If you know they're scared of fireworks please remember the 4th will slide in before we know it . Protect your scardy cats and dogs . Secure them appropriately . Don't take them out to watch fire works ,take them potty on a leash and go back in before the noise gets bad
Be safe out there...
Last tid bit . If your out with your dog or cat in woods or a hike , camping whatever you do please do tick checks from head to toe! 😉

Wrinkled Dog is down a dog because Gertie tested positive for heart worms . After 2 negative results and 3 positive results. It was confirmed. She will be on smaller kennel rest and leash potty time for well over 30 days .
I've decided that I'm going to work Grommit on lost pet recovery so ladybyrd has a break.
Wish us luck on this medical journey.
Stubborn hound she is and keeping her calm will be a JOKE! But we will get through this
Yes to answer the "is she on preventative meds "? It's not 100 % prevention.
Out of 5 dogs 1 tested positive.
Pray for us , For this is going to be a long rough 30+ days

Yesterday Gertie and I went on a sniffy adventure in Scottsbro looking for a ACD X off of the beaten path up and down a Mt
It was brutal on us as well as the young lady looking with us for her fur family.
We started about 1 pm and ended deep in the woods about 3:30 pm to be stuck in woods crossing over property of hunters and listening for the highway as we slowly and steadily made our way out of the woods,off the mountain all with no light to see (neither of us prepared for darkness) with no cell service worth beans and dead batteries .. we made it back safe but tathered .
Not finding the dog .
It was exhausting and hard on the body.
Lesson learned. Be prepared for anything.

This am we found her !
She is safe and sound in her momma's arms.
We celebrated with a doggy donut from Dunkin donuts.

Maybe you'll see this. His name is saint, he's a 2 year old border Collie mix. He went missing from Alder Springs and was last seen on Rose road heading towards Albertville City. Here's a few pictures of him. My daughter is beside herself sick. She hasn't slept much since he's been gone. I really, really need to find him.
