Struggling with teaching your dog to “Roll Over”?
Follow these three easy steps to help break down the trick!
Reward your dog with a treat when they hit each of these positions. we will be breaking it down into three positions using a crawl walk run approach to teach our dog to roll over.
1. Laying on their side. This sounds very simple, but we want to reward our dog when it simply lay on their side. This helps them understand that they can get treats for the effort that they are putting in. If we do not reward our dogs for a little effort, and they will not be motivated to try something harder.
2. On their back. Reward your dog when they are laying on their back trying to get the reward from your hand. Some dogs might not be comfortable staying in that position while taking a treat from your hand, so simply get them to lay on their back and then treat the ground so they can go back on their side and get the reward.
3. Completion of the rollover. at this point your dog has gone from blank their side to laying on their back to laying on their other side. This is where we can get the jackpot and give them lots of treats for doing the whole rollover.

How to teach your dog to “Spin” on command!
Benson will be showing you do this!
3 Things To Remember:
1. Use physical guidance. We need to keep the treat close to our dogs nose to guide them a lot before starting to fade away our hand. Remember to get many repetitions before starting to pull away your hand and higher your expectations.
2. Do not name the command until your dog understands the movement required to get a treat. Simply start by luring your dog in a circle motion and repeat this multiple times. Once your dog is getting really good at it, you can start to name it.
3. Reward Marker. Use a reward marker such as “Yes!”, this will help the dog know exactly when it performs the behavior you’re looking for. Look at our other videos to learn how to train a reward marker.

Here is how to stop your dog from jumping
Use a leash, treats/praise, and even a pen to get your dog to stop jumping!
Use the leash, by stepping on it when your dog is excessively, jumping. that way your dog learns to stop, jumping by correcting himself.
Use treats/praise as a reward, but also using it to your advantage when your dog keeps jumping. Take away the reward, whether it’s praise or treat every time your dog starts to jump the treats or your hands and step on the leash.
Use the pen as a way to create space. But also to add some structure when you’re letting your dog outside the pen, open the pen if your dog being a good boy, not jumping as soon as they decide to start jumping or rush out of the pen just close it and wait for them to settle down . You can use treats to get them to sit if they are struggling settling down as soon as they sit release them repeat this process many times slowly progressing your expectations.

How to generalize place in 3 different ways!
1: Physical Guidance
2: Using your Recall Command as a Guide onto the new place.
3: Use treats to lure your dog onto this new place, especially puppies.
Remember!
Always create those positive pictures whether you’re petting your dog on the place, praising him/her, or even creating a fun event like jumping on and off the place. This will always expedite the process and make things a lot more fun for your fur friend.
