Another angel crossed the Rainbow Bridge, sweet Buddy. Know you are loved, sweetheart.

Lost my precious boy today, my little Buddy. I was truly blessed that my family and I had him for 15 years. We loved him and he loved us. Hardest decision in my life to have to make, but Peaceful Passage let my sweet Buddy be able to pass in my arms. Oh, how I loved that dog. He loved his car rides, his cheeseburger reward after his haircut, and the endless naps we would have together. The last two years Buddy went dealt, losing his eyesight, skin allergies, stopped wagging his tail but still loved his snuggles. We had to do what was best for Buddy. I had a consult over the phone with Peaceful Passage that reassured me I was doing what was best for Buddy. Run free, Buddy, eat cheeseburgers and steak your favorite, no more pain. Until we meet again, I will never stop loving you and thinking about you. Buddy, I love you. My heart is hurting

We said goodbye to sweet Flash,
and a quick thank you to one of our doctors.

On August 22nd, Flash, who was with us for 13 months, passed the Rainbow Bridge. Flash was adopted last year as a senior dog after being in the shelter for at least seven months. The last thing I wanted for him was to spend his last moments at a place related to vets/shelters, so I made the decision to have his passing at home. This was my first time experiencing an at-home euthanasia for one of my pets, and I’m SO glad I did this.

The experience was positive for Flash since he could be comfortable at home with me and his other furry siblings. I sincerely want to thank Dr. Dreizen for making Flash’s last few moments at home memorable for him and myself. Dr. Dreizen was amazing — she was gentle, patient, and extremely kind. She gave me the time and space that I needed to say my goodbyes to Flash and I am so grateful for this and to her.

If you had asked me last year when I had to euthanize my first dog, to do it at home, I would’ve said no way because I wouldn’t be able to handle the last memories/moments being at home. As a result, my first dog passed in my hands at the vet last year and after experiencing this with Flash, I wish I would’ve done the first time differently. Needless to say, I would definitely use Peaceful Passage again (in the far far future) for my other senior dog.

We lost another angel
RIP, know you are loved.

Our sweet Jazzy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She grew up alongside our children and eventually her little pug sis, Rosy, who also misses her dearly. We're grateful to have sooo many wonderful memories of Jazzy over the past 12 1/2 years we had her and we know now she's bathing forever in the sunlight, where she always loved to lay. 🐾☀️♥️

We said farewell to beautiful Poe and a quick thank you to one of our doctors.
Fly high, sweetheart, know you are so loved.

I wanted to thank your team and Dr Caplan for making our path as comforting as possible.

On 8/18/25, we opened a box of heartbreak to say goodbye to our Little Miss, our precious Poe. For the past year, she’s been receiving palliative care as we sought to ensure her comfort and dignity. Her offering of quiet purrs and sweet snuggles for 15 years has culminated in a love so great that it overflows from our heart of hearts as a salty river. What a gift to know the pain of loss; the price of loving her. What a gift to set aside our insistence she live forever; to make this choice before her suffering became too great.
On her last day on earth, she licked the cream from my coffee, ate a few of her favorite treats (tuna juice and Greenies catnip flavor). We played CatTV for her. We sat with her, stroked her head. We contacted Peaceful Passage and then said our goodbyes in our home, where she was most comfortable, with the people that belonged to her. In her final moments, I read aloud to her: Mary Oliver’s “In Blackwater Woods” along with a poem I wrote for our tiny grey precious cat while something inside me broke and mended itself, ad infinitum. Poe died softly, the same way she lived, and we released her through the veil. After she died, I created a memorial of flowers around her sweet, soft body and gave her one last kiss.
