**Meet Nome!**

Nome has been neutered, microchipped, combo tested for FIV and FeLV, vaccinated, flea treated, and dewormed. His adoption fee is $250 as a single or $400 as a pair.

Nome is a super playful, handsome, outgoing, and confident little boy. After enjoying a good meal and an energetic play session, he will happily curl up in your lap for a cozy cuddle. This delightful boy needs to be adopted into a home with other animals who are eager to engage in playtime with him. He would thrive in a household with children and, although he hasn’t met any dogs, he would likely enjoy the company of a canine friend.

Currently, Nome is in a foster home with his buddy Penny. While they do not have to be adopted together, they would make a fantastic pair if you're looking for two! Penny is an ultra-affectionate girl who is eager to find her forever home and, more importantly, her forever person. While she can be a little needy at times and certainly has a touch of tortitude, her charming personality makes up for it. This vocal sweetheart will follow you around the house, always on the lookout for the perfect opportunity to sit in your lap and soak up some love. She adores head butting and snuggling into your neck, bringing warmth and comfort to your day.

An expert biscuit maker, Penny's tiny paws are irresistibly cute! With her extra short fur, she will definitely appreciate a heated blanket or heating pad during the colder months. Penny gets along wonderfully with adult cats, though she has yet to meet any dogs. She thrives in a calm environment, making her the ideal companion for a relaxed home without young children.

🐾 **Happy $5 Friday, Fur-iends!** 🐾

It’s been a *purr-etty* tough week at Oakbrook Cat Rescue. Between our usual sniffles and sneezes, we’ve had **two hospitalized kittens** and an entire litter battling **panleukopenia**—a nasty virus that hits hard and fast. On top of that, we had restock on **life-saving vaccines** and **microchips** to keep our kitties safe and ready for adoption. 🐱💉💕

If you’ve got a few extra dollars to spare (even just **$5**!), or can send a case of **wet food** from our wishlist, it would mean the world to us—and to the whiskers we're working so hard to save! 🥹🫶

Join us today at the 6th Avenue Petco from 12 PM to 3 PM at **5951 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98406** for our exciting adoption event!

🐾 **Important Notes:**
- Every cat must have a **secure carrier** to go home in once adopted.
- Please remember **not to crowd the kennels.** Events can be stressful for the cats, so kindly allow them their space.
- **Pair adoptions will be prioritized** at the front of the line as we strive to keep siblings together. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
- We know that certain colors and features can be highly desired, but we can only select one home for each cat. We take this process very seriously and aim to find the best fit for each furry friend. If you don't get the cat you were hoping for, **don’t lose hope!** Let us know what you’re looking for, and we'll do our best to help you find a great match.

Please be kind and patient with our volunteers and fosters. Busy events can be overwhelming, and we are doing our best to assist everyone in a timely manner. Remember, choosing a forever home should not be rushed. Your patience is greatly appreciated!

Hello, I'm Honey Crisp. I might be a bit weary at first, but once I get to know you, I'll be a part of the family. I'm both sweet and a little sassy. I have a strong personality and will let you know how I feel, good and bad. I'm three but really I'm just a big kitten and love playing with my kids, so I would love a playmate. I have a lot of energy and love chasing kittens, toys, and playing with my foster family. I love being affectionate and can't wait for you to get up in the morning so can get some attention... Hello, I'm Gojiberry, Goji for short. I might be a bit timid at first, but once I get to know you, I'll be your best friend. I love to play, especially with my siblings. They help me feel brave. When I'm scared, I find comfort in clinging onto you. It's my way of saying, 'I trust you, keep me safe.' I'm also very cuddly. I love curling up in your lap and purring softly as you stroke my fur. I am nervous about heights, but push past my fears to be the cat at the highest peak in the house. I will fill your house with play, cuddles, and a little clinginess. Just the right combination.
