February is National Spay/Neuter Awareness Month! This month is a reminder to focus on the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Also sometimes called Beat the Heat month, this awareness campaign encourages pet owners to take action to control the pet population and make better lives for animals and humans together!

By having your pet spayed or neutered, you will do your part to prevent the birth of unwanted animals. What's more, you could be setting your pet up for a longer life, as studies have repeatedly shown that spayed or neutered dogs and cats live longer, on average, than other dogs and cats. ♥️♥️

February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month – and we’re ready to celebrate with a PITTIE PAWTY!

In an effort to support responsible pet ownership and reduce the number of unwanted PITTIES in our community, we’re offering discounted spay/neuter surgeries for pit bull owners for a limited time, using grant money. SPACE IS LIMITED. Pit bulls are often one of the most common breeds found in shelters, yet they’re also among the most at risk for being euthanized due to overpopulation. By making these services more affordable, we hope to make a positive impact on reducing this cycle and improving the lives of both pets and their families.

Many people don’t realize that the term "pit bull" actually refers to several breeds, not just one. These include:
* American Pit Bull Terrier
* American Staffordshire Terrier
* American Bully
* Staffordshire Bull Terrier
* American Bulldog (and sometimes, other dogs with similar characteristics)

If you’re a pit bull owner and want to take advantage of this promotion, here’s how it works:

* Complete the unique form for this specific promotion.
* You’ll be asked to submit a photo of your dog once you’ve been contacted.
* A deposit is required, which will be forfeited if you miss your scheduled appointment.
* Pitties must be at least 3 months old, healthy, and up-to-date on their rabies vaccination. If your dog is not vaccinated for rabies, we will administer one at the time of surgery for a fee.

This is a limited-time opportunity to make a positive impact on your pet’s health and help reduce the number of unwanted litters in our community. If you’ve been considering spaying or neutering your pit bull, now is the perfect time to take action. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of pit bulls and help create a healthier, safer community for all pets.

***We will NOT be accepting calls, emails, or DMs to schedule***

Spay/Neuter Awareness Month is observed throughout February. Its primary focus is to educate pet owners and the general public about the positive impact of spaying and neutering pets. This surgical procedure helps control the pet population and provides numerous health and behavioral benefits to animals.
Spaying and neutering your pet has many benefits, including:
Health
Spaying and neutering can help prevent uterine and ovarian cancer in female pets, and prostate cancer in male pets. It can also reduce the risk of breast cancer in female pets.
Behavior
Spayed and neutered pets are often more relaxed, affectionate, and less aggressive. They may also be less likely to roam and fight.
Lifespan
Spayed and neutered pets tend to live longer lives than other pets.
Population control
Spaying and neutering helps reduce the number of unwanted animals in the community.
Shelter resources
Spaying and neutering helps reduce the number of animals in need of shelter.
Euthanasia rates
Euthanasia rates are higher in areas where spaying and neutering are less common.

This program helps fix pets in Loudon County!

Happy Spay/Neuter Awareness Month! Pets who are not spayed or neutered often go on and contribute to the overpopulation and homelessness problem of dogs and cats in the United States. By fixing your pets, they are also less likely to develop fatal diseases and are less prone to engage in violent behavior.

Here at APLC, we provide spay/neuter vouchers to Loudon County residents to assist with the cost of these surgeries. Support our mission by spreading our organization and getting your pets fixed. Donations are always appreciated to keep the mission going!🐾

Need revenge on that EX, we've got the puur-fect means of doing that safely and it will help our community cats.

For a $50 donation, we'll give you the opportunity to have a community cat named after your ex. This will ensure they will never leave their mark on the dating scene by performing a spay or neuter. All proceeds will go to our program to help more community cats. Lets face it, you will be helping our community assist the cat overpopulation and putting an end to the chapter that should not have remained open. Lets do it 🎯🐾😽

Ensure you add your Ex's name on the donation, got to get those names posted !!!!
