Golden Valley Animal Hospital has been serving Golden Valley and the surrounding suburbs since 1975. Five years later we opened our Greenbrier location in Minnetonka. Our doctors have experience with everything from dogs and cats to birds and reptiles. Our mission is to provide top quality veterinary care in a friendly, compassionate and caring manner.

Happy National White Cat Day to CVT Lia's cat, Wonton!

One of Wonton's favorite things is his tunnel! He likes to do sneak attacks through the tunnel, he enjoys being carried around in the tunnel, and he likes to spin around inside of it! He also loves to drink running water from the faucet, and he enjoys eating squeeze churus!

You may remember seeing Hannah working at our clinics from 2019 - 2022, but then she left to attend vet school at University of Wisconsin! Hannah came back last week to shadow Dr. Mercer as she is going into her third year of vet school! It is so crazy how quickly time flies, and so amazing to see how much Hannah has grown! We are so excited for her!

Today is CVPM Tanya's last day at our clinics as she is leaving to be closer to her family. Tanya has been such an integral part of Golden Valley and Greenbrier Animal Hospitals, and we will miss her dearly. She started at our clinics as a Veterinary Technician back in 2011 and worked here until 2014. She left for a short while, but then came back in 2016 as our practice manager. Tanya has hired most of the staff that currently works here today, and has helped to create our clinic family! Things will be so different without her. We hope for the absolute best for Tanya, and we know you will all miss her as much as we do!

Has your pet been scratching more than usual lately? August is "itchy pet awareness month", so now is as good a time as any to be mindful of itchy behavior! Dogs and cats may scratch themselves for multiple different reasons such as ear or skin infections, fleas, or allergies.

If the itching is excessive, you notice an odor, or your pet seems uncomfortable, please give our clinics a call to schedule an appointment!
