Yesterday Butch's family let me know that he passed away after a round of poor health. For those that remember Butch he was given a second chance after his first adoption went terribly wrong. And yes he bit the first adopter multiple times. After spending 3 or 4 months with me Butch met and fell in love with his new family, and they loved him just as much. Thank you Erika for giving him a second chance and not holding his past against him😭❤️❤️❤️

Lately, Behri has been hinting that he is smarter than me (I think it's the new glasses). So I decided to go back to school.
I am excited to share that I have been accepted to the Certification in Applied Animal Behavior program at The University of Washington! With a scholarship as well.

Watch out Behri! There is nothing more important than continuing to learn and grow.

This guy was created through and by the shelter/rescue system. Anyone with just a small understanding of canine behavior would know what he was claiming was just not possible. The time and work that goes into helping a dog with behavior challenges does not allow for traveling to conferences and spending endless hours on social media. His business was not financially feasible. I think everyone should be transparent enough to discuss what he did. He created a place where dogs could be dumped for a price.

Baldwin presented himself as a caring lover of dogs and claimed to have a 99% successful adoption rate for behaviorally challenged dogs. He promoted himself as someone who could rehabilitate dogs that no one else could. But he did not work with the dogs entrusted to him. Baldwin would have dogs euthanized and lie to pet owners or rescue groups — sometimes for months — saying the dogs were alive and well rather than admitting he was unable to help, according to court records.

Ex-Union County Humane executive director Steffen Baldwin was sentenced Friday to over 15 years in prison for animal cruelty, theft and other charges.
