This little male pup was found running off of Old Stage Road in the town of Cleveland on Sunday. If you know where is home is please give the shelter a call.

Jackson County Animal Shelter was excited to get a wonderful donation of soft kitty blankets that were made by the Melrose-Mindoro Girl Scout Troop 7082. We will have some happy cats tonight. Pictured bringing in the blankets is Dorothy.

We have 3 adorable gray kitties fresh off the farm. They are the cutest little kittens that were raised on fresh country air! They are still a bit timid but can be handled. They are ready to steal your heart. They are waiting for you at the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

UPDATE: KAEYA is home safe and sound! This handsome boy has been missing since last night. He is a Husky mix that lives on Lower Lake outside of Merrillan. His name is Kaeya. If you have seen him please call his owner at 715-896-6856 or the shelter at 715-284-0251.

Meet Kit Kat! He is a good looking large built neutered male looking for an indoor home. He is said to be 15 pounds. His family can no longer care for him so if you have a big enough couch for him to lounge on give us a call, or better yet- stop in!

This handsome neutered male cat escaped from his owner yesterday afternoon from Canine Country Lodge off of County C just outside of Black River Falls. If you happen to see him please call his owner or the shelter a call at 715-284-0251.

This gorgeous lady is Brownie. She just got done raising a litter of 4 cute pups. Now it’s time for her to slow down and enjoy life with a human all her own. She is as sweet as can be and will make someone a great little dog. She is said to be a mix of Cane Corso/Pit and St. Bernard. She is on the smaller side. If you have room in your home and heart for Brownie come on over to the shelter to meet her.

This stunning beauty is Georgia and she is really hoping that that special person will walk through the shelter doors and take her home. She came to the shelter early this summer as a stray and never was claimed. She was adopted out for a few months but then returned as they felt she needed a bigger yard. She gets along with some dogs but can be selective. She does have a Hound voice that isn’t always music to everyone’s ears. Other than that she will be your loyal, lifelong friend ready to enjoy life’s adventures with you. Please come meet Georgia at the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

We are pleased to introduce Mr. Mike, a handsome and well-built Hound who recently joined our shelter as a stray. Unfortunately, his owners never came to claim him, but we believe he has the potential to make a wonderful companion for someone. Despite initial reservations, he is slowly warming up to those around him and learning to trust. If you would like to meet Mr. Mike, we invite you to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Please keep in mind that it may take some time for him to show his true personality due to his timidness.

We have one lonely little pup left hoping to find her family tomorrow. She is Min Pin / Chihuahua Mix born on Labor Day. Come visit her tomorrow between 1-4.

This handsome male Shepherd was found on the side of the road on County K just past Mission Road. He has an injured paw. There was another German Shepherd with him but he ran off into the woods. If this is your dog or you know where he belongs give us a call at the shelter. 715-284-0251

We would like to say THANK YOU to Donna and Scott Drangstveit along with family and friends and also extend our sympathies on the passing of their mother and friend, Chintana Chernach. She was a loyal friend to animals and they chose to honor her memory with a gift of money to the Jackson County Animal Shelter. We feel privileged to be surrounded by such a giving community.
