Update: Union Pacific Railroad will close the crossing at Rock Prairie Road west of Wellborn Road on Tuesday to install new tracks. The closure will be in place for 3-4 days.
The City of College Station will provide traffic control, but motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. Additional closures are expected in the next month, but the dates have not been determined. You will need to use an alternate route to get into our parking lot. Thank you!

We have reduced our staff numbers in order to keep them safe. We will also only be at the clinic during daylight hours as long as the roads remain a danger. We do not recommend driving. Please call us to reschedule your appointment today.
Stay warm and stay safe everyone!

Please spread the word! Gentry was LOST on October 1, 2020 in College Station, TX 77845 near Near Rock Prairie Rd W, College Station

Message from Owner: He is my parents dog, and his name is Gentry, he escaped his harness during his vet appointment. Needless to say they're very worried and have been out looking for him, along with some of the people who work at the vet since he escaped, and was last seen by a few individuals on Edelweiss Ave, but ran away from them because he's scared. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Description: He is very skittish, easily frightened, he is microchipped.

An update to our wonderful and patient clients:

As our town slowly tries to resume normal activity we want to update you on how our clinic will navigate these extraordinary times.

We will continue to practice social distancing between the public and our staff. In order to have as many available appointments as possible, we will continue to do our curbside services and keep a reduced number of people in the building for the foreseeable future. We feel this is necessary to continue limited contact in order to protect our staff and clients from COVID 19 infections. Opening our lobby while trying to maintain distance would greatly reduce the number of appointments we could rotate through during a day. It also increases the risk to us all. If a member of our team becomes infected with COVID 19, our clinic will be shut down for a minimum of two weeks. It is a heavy feeling to imagine if we couldn’t be there for you and your pets. To avoid this we will continue to strive to protect each other so that we may continue to provide care to our beloved patients.

Though our job is important to us, we also have to remember that these appropriate steps not only allow us to stay healthy and work but are needed to protect our family members and loved ones. Many of our clients and family members are high risk and we want to do our part to reduce the spread of infection.

We send a heartfelt thank you to all our clients who have been and continue to be patient. We are filled with gratitude for your support.

Wellness exams: We are now trying to navigate fitting in 6 months of exams over a 3 month period. We are working on a remedy but the logistics are still being finalized. We appreciate your patience. Please continue to make appointments so that your names are on the books (even if it’s months out) and we will call you to move appointments forward soon.

For those frustrated and upset by the logistics of this all, we get it. These are definitely frustrating times and inconvenient. We have a job that literally results in blood, sweat, and tears on a daily basis. Tears are higher these days for some, as employees work longer than normal hours on a crammed packed schedule while also having to deal with personal loss, spousal job loss, or high-risk family members. Almost every day in the last two months someone here is working well past midnight. So please know we truly get and feel your frustration. Talk to us kindly and we will listen, let us know if you have extenuating circumstances. No A/C in your car? Of course, you can come sit somewhere isolated in our building. Let us know what you need.

For anyone calling to yell, cuss, belittle, scream and threaten us, it is of no use and will get you absolutely nowhere with us. We are not responsible for a global pandemic nor can we control any aftermath created by it. We are all doing the best we can one day at a time to serve our community.

We hope you and your loved ones are well and we look forward to more normal times in the future.

With Gratitude,

All of us at Wellborn Road Veterinary Medical Center
