Cost:
$25 per dog ($30 after August 20th)

Registration include a t-shirt, doggie gift, admission for one day into the walk & swim
$15 for each additional dog

VIP Swim - Extra $20/dog gets you early entry into the pool! (Limited VIP Swim availability)

This is a friendly reminder that food (dog or human) is not allowed in the park for safety reasons. Some dogs may become aggressive when food is present, so keeping food out of the park will make the park safer for all visitors!

This is a friendly reminder that vaccinations for your dog are required, including Rabies and Bordetella. If your pet has a contagious condition, please do not use the park until a veterinarian states that your dog is not contagious. We appreciate your help in keeping all pups healthy!

This is a friendly paw reminder. 🐾
Park users accept all risk of injury that may occur to themselves and their dog while at the park. Dog handlers are legally responsible for his/her dog, and the City of Nampa will assume no responsibility for any injuries to humans or animals. Handler must be in view of their dog and have their dog under voice control at all times.

If your dog becomes aggressive or disruptive while in the park, the handler must remove the dog from the situation and address the socialization issues.

We appreciate everyone supervising their dog and keeping our park a safe place to recreate!

Nampa’s Amity Dog Park

As the City of Nampa grew, so too did the number of community requests for an off-leash dog park. Responding to community feedback, the Nampa Parks and Recreation Department was determined to build Nampa’s first dog park. In 2007, the department formed a volunteer Dog Park Committee, made up of local dog enthusiasts, to begin planning Nampa’s first dog park. Land for the park was secured using a six-acre parcel of surplus City property resulting from the Kings Road Overpass project. By the end of 2007, the committee drafted a conceptual design and organized a fundraising campaign to raise money for the park.

Construction of the park began in 2008 and the vacant land that was once covered with weeds is now a beautifully landscaped, fully-functioning dog park. The Nampa Dog Park opened to the public in July 2009 without the planned swimming pond. The pond was not developed due to financial restrictions. After several years of fundraising and donations, the funds for the swimming pond for dogs was secured and the pond was completed and opened to the public in August of 2016.

Nampa’s Amity Dog Park was financed and constructed with grants, donations, volunteer labor and City resources. Without the support we received from generous individuals and businesses who participated in Nampa’s Amity Dog Park volunteer and fundraising efforts, the dog park would not exist. We appreciate all past and future contributors!
