Hunt Test Saturday.

Ran my granddaughter’s boy, Suny, in the Susquehanna Retriever Club spring hunt test in Greenwood DE. He (SHR Yellowdog’s Run Red Devil Run JH) continues to advance in the hunt test game. Today he earned his Junior Hunting Retriever title. Thanks to landowner Joe Johnson, as well as the event judges, SRC member/workers and volunteers for a fun day with our dogs and friends.

My three girls “helping” put up 4x8’ bead board, ceiling panels in our kennel room. 7 years ago this date. L-R…River, Teal, and Keeper. Both River and Teal are gone now, having crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Keeper continues with our youngsters Pepper and Suny Boy.

Hunt Test Saturday.

Ran our young boy, Suny (SHR Yellowdog’s Red Devi Run) in the AKC spring hunt test hosted by the Free State Retriever Club in Greenwood DE. Thank you to the landowners, volunteers, judges, guns and First State RC members for a fun event. Good to see friends who share the interest in this sport. Suny Boy nailed his retrieves and earned another pass toward his next title.

Hunt Test Saturday!

My granddaughter Kherington’s young boy Suny (SHR Yellowdog’s Run Red Devil Run) earned his Started Hunting Retriever title at the Conowingo Hunting Retriever Club of Maryland fall hunt test.

Thanks to the club members, volunteers and judges who organized such a fun event. Great tailgate party with incredible foods.

Road Trip to beat the east coast nor'easter snow storm!

Our girl, Keeper, has been bred to FTW Timber Talent, a fox red boy from Gray Light Kennels (GLK) in Lexington, NC. After the third natural breeding, I drove 842 miles roundtrip to NC on Monday to pick her up and bring her home.

Thanks to Dr. Mellissa Goodman, DVM, and the team at Veterinary Reproductive Services for providing the optimum breeding dates and kudos to Logan Sheets (GLK owner) for taking care of the match making between his boy and Keeper. Fox Red pups are due around April 2, 2021. This litter is sold out.

Our girl, Keeper, is featured on the cover of this month's issue of Chesapeake Bay Magazine. The photo was taken by Nick Kelley during her first duck hunt at The Lodge at Black Pearl. Nick was shooting photos for Garden and Gun magazine. Keeper made 16 retrieves that day. Good Dawg!
