Daisy. Daisy very much reminds me of Lucy. She tender hearted and takes reprimands to heart. She loves playing with puppies. She aware and protective of her home. She will bark at things she views as a threat to her home. She has had her first heat. She eager to please also. She is not afraid to venture out on her own and doesn't mind picking on the smelly cats (aka skunks - much like Lucy- Lucy still hasn't figured out to leave the smelly cats alone!). She mixes well with new dogs also. She has her rabies shot. Heartworm negative and receiving a heartworm preventative.

One male left from the June litter. We are calling him Huck. He is a good boy. He does well on a leash. He sits with hand signals. He pretty eager to please. The bloodlines on his sires side were known for their hunting abilities and he has a full blooded brother (from the December 2022 litter) showing great promise in scent work and hunting.

Some of you have probably heard the term “corn sweat,” which is when corn (and really, other crops) give off moisture through their leaves as they move through the growing season. The scientific term for this is called evapotranspiration, and we are getting it in abundance! It’s a big part of why we are seeing such humid conditions and extreme heat index values.

Did you know that mature Iowa corn crops give off over 50 BILLION gallons of water DAILY into the atmosphere. THIS IS ENOUGH WATER TO FILL OVER 75,750 OLYMPIC SIZE SWIMMING POOLS!!! 🤯
