I know it’s been months for everyone, I’m so ready to get back to normal schedule weekly but until we can get some consistency in the weather and a dry area…. 🫠🤷🏻‍♀️
I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and sticking it out with me. If this keeps up, I will try to find an arena to rent. 🤞🏽

This is amazing! A beautiful saddle!!

When I asked Luke why he chose to make a saddle, he said “how many 16 year olds have you known to make their own saddle? And I’m hoping my dad will let me get a horse!”

For the record, Luke is the first 16 year old I have ever known to make his own saddle and my vote is dad will let the boy get a horse! This saddle is absolutely beautiful! Good Luck to Luke and all of our kids at Loy Lake this week! -Mrs. Patterson

One horse had been diagnosed with Equine Infectious Anemia in Harris County, Texas.

EIA is an incurable, infectious viral disease spread through blood-to-blood contact, not through proximity or direct contact. The virus can be transmitted from an infected equine to an uninfected equine by blood-feeding insects such as horseflies, deerflies, or stable flies.

Who can guess why?

You may wonder why we pull back into the syringe when giving injections in the vein. This picture explains why. We don't pull back to make sure we're in the vessel, we do it to make sure we're in the RIGHT vessel. Today I went to give an injection and pulled back and saw blood brighter than I wanted. I decided to go and get a new dose of sedation and once again pulled back and then gave my dose of sedation. The syringe on the left was my first injection and the syringe on the right was my second injection. Does anyone know why I shouldn't have injected that first syringe? And had I injected that first injection, what would have happened?
