Each week we will be introducing you to a staff member. This weeks staff member is Diane. Diane is an LVT who has been in the field for 22 years. She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute in Denver Colorado. Diane started out with us in 2002 and was with us on and off over the past 22 years. Diane has experience in GP and emergency. Diane is married and has a Rottweiler named Juneau, a cat named Kai, a horse named Luke and 2 donkeys, Merlin who is a mini and Pierre who is a standard. Dianes love of animals started at a very young age 💕

Just some information for pet owners on how to read their pet in certain situations- please call the hospital if you have any questions 😊
There are many different levels of fear, anxiety, and stress that your pet may experience at the veterinary clinic. Some pets may show more signs than others, and with each new sign, the animal is pushed into a different level. The Fear Free Initiative has been extremely helpful in educating veterinary professionals as well as pet owners on the different levels of fear, anxiety, and stress. Fear Free uses a scale where the animal can have high levels (Levels 4-5) of fear, stress, and anxiety as well as lower levels (Levels 0-1). In dogs, higher levels of stress can include aggression, ears back and tail tucked between their legs, actively trying to escape, excessive panting, trembling, increased respiratory rate, and immobility. When cats are experiencing a high level of stress, they can exhibit aggression, hissing, actively trying to escape, ears back, tail tight or tucked, and immobility.

We helped deliver four puppies.Tabby did amazing and she is such a great mom. Sadly only 2 male and 1 female survived Still better than none surviving.. It’s a Holiday Miracle 🎄🩵

Welcome to the family 🩵

Our annual Pup-Tober fest exceeded all expectations! It was absolutely fabulous 🐾💜

A huge shoutout to PawPals for being the most incredible hosts! We are forever grateful to Susan Solar and the Clarkstown South Asset Leadership team volunteers, George Rigney for his amazing music and MC skills, Stephanie for capturing all the wonderful moments with her photography, Hudson's Mill and Round Table brewery for providing delicious food and drinks, NamaStray Kitten Club, Frank D’andrea dog training, Justin Sweet Town Clerk, Petscentrix, Doyle's Bandana's, PawMont, and all the talented individuals who made the toy making and hand made bracelets possible. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the HCW volunteers and, of course, Mother Nature for blessing us with a stunning summer day!

Toni, Pedro, Sara, Jock, Tabitha, Bear(berry), Sneezy, Doc, Sleepy, D***y, Happy, Bashful, Grumpy, and Momma Lady have all found their forever homes! These incredible animals are now surrounded by love and happiness.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the heartwarming reunions between our alumni and their rescuers. Michelle and Ri even flew in all the way from Puerto Rico to witness the joyous reunions of the animals they had rescued and fostered. It was a truly magical sight to behold.

We are overjoyed to announce that 14 dogs and puppies have found their forever homes. This event not only brought our alumni together but also showcased the unwavering support of our community and village. We loved the dog skill contests and the costume contest PAWrade was so much fun !!! Congrats to Circus-circus as the big winner, ghostbusters, shark attack and cow/milk the costumes were great !! Congrats to our raffle basket winners !!

This year's Pup-Tober fest was an unforgettable success, and we are immensely grateful to everyone who made it possible. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of these incredible animals.
