JUST IN; NEW RESULTS;
So far, we have completed Anticoagulant Rodenticide Panels for 79 deceased specimens to identify which ingredients of anticoagulant rodenticides are evident within their bodies. 68 have resulted positive for one or more of the ingredients of Second Generation Anticoagulant Rodenticide poisons. More tests pending.
How can anyone continue to look the other way? Rodenticides/poisons have never solved a rodent problem. Nor have they ever been able to be specific to the targeted nuisance animal. In our testing, there are 3 wild mammals, a fox, an opossum and a weasel, and 3 American Bald Eagles. Other predatory Birds of Prey included, Red tailed hawks, Red shouldered hawks, Broad winged hawks, Coopers hawks, Northern Harrier, American Kestrel, Crows, Barred Owls, Great Horned Owls, and Eastern Screech Owls.

Support HB 5217 with Amendments to include a ban on the use and the sale of SGARS statewide. Making them registered use products is a step in the right direction but not enough since it still allows licensed Pest Management Providers to apply these poisons.
