There's a young lady that I met a couple years ago and her dream was to have a training facility and offer and specialize in extremely well started 2yr olds. Little did I know how fast she would excel all the while becoming a fantastic friend. She has 2..2 yr olds in Goreville,IL this Saturday August 17 2024. Both have been started by Billisue Jannusch and both ride INCREDIBLE!! She has impressed me more in her horsemanship than any person I've seen in my equine life. She never skips a step and always seeks to be better and is able to apply what she learns herself to her prospects. UPDATE: My boy "Felix" the orphaned foal is doing very well. He's officially off of milk replacer and milk pellets!! He's on alfalfa and 16% foal feed. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to save him and making it so easy. Although getting up every 2 hrs for 6 weeks wasn't ideal! Lmao 😉 🤣

A true testament to truly what it takes to get a young horse "broke". It's not enough to have patience and just ride em..you gotta have horsemanship,patience, want too, and horse gotta have a JOB! It tires them out but most importantly it occupies there mind and they find purpose rather than mundane rides that bore them and can cause resistance. My hats off and tons of respect to my brothers to the south that are putting in the work on dad's 2 yr old blue filly! Trust me she is getting what she needs to become sound minded and truly be the definition of a "broke" horse and it don't go unnoticed and yall have all my respect. Just some thoughts I've had this beautiful mornin. Enjoy your day friends!

She is sound to breed however she has small ovaries and is gonna take extra effort to get her in foal. Currently shoed with 2% wedges and gets around just fine. Absolutely the gentlest mare we've ever had...a true sweetheart!
