As a continuing update, please note that while we have returned to our normal hours of operation, we will still be enforcing all social distancing requirements that have been in place since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic. This includes asking clients to remain in their vehicle for the duration of their appointment.

***Please note that we will be open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 - 8 P.M., however we will only be accepting patients by APPOINTMENT ONLY. There will be NO WALK-IN CLINIC on Tuesday or Thursday. If you would like to schedule an appointment for your furry friend, please give us a call.

Meet Knox! This handsome Shepherd/Husky mix is a lot of fun! He is 1 year old this month, around 60lbs and all puppy. He knows all of his basic commands! He is potty and crate trained. He needs an active family with plenty of room to run and play ball. He has been around cats, dogs, and children. He will jump up on people, so a home without small children is preferable. He is a smart boy and learns very quickly. Our shelter is by appointment only, so if you are interested in meeting Knox, the first step is to complete an application at https://circleareahumanesociety.com/ Once the application is approved, we will call you to set up a meet and greet. $200 adoption fee, Knox is heartworm negative, neutered, and current on vaccines.

We will spend the week hilighting our community’s pet friendly businesses and attractions!

There will also be a digital pet parade and an opportunity to donate to our local Dog Shelter!

Someone dumped these kitties at Ted Lewis Park in Circleville, Ohio in an obscure location in the rear of the park next to the water. We are thankful that they seem to be in good health. We are almost positive that we got all that were dumped but if you happen to be at the park please keep an eye out. We are currently taking them to the vet to make sure that they are healthy.

Meet Huck! Huck is a very good boy! He is leash trained, potty trained, and does great with cats, dogs, and humans of all ages! He is a Beagle, 3 years old, neutered and current on vaccines. His owner was very sad to let him go but he was jumping her 4 foot privacy fence and running into traffic. We need a secured fenced in yard for this boy. He is a runner! ***UPDATE*** Clinic Hours

Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, also known as Coronavirus, we will also be changing our hours of operation.

Starting Tuesday, March 31st, our clinic hours will be:

Monday - Friday: 8AM - 5PM
Saturday: 8AM - 12PM (Noon)
Sunday: Closed

There will be no Walk-In Clinic on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and the hours will be limited to just the morning on Saturdays. These hours will be temporary until any changes are issued from Gov. Mike DeWine or the state health officials.

It's time for Mary to find a home! She is the mother of the Deer Creek abandoned puppies. All of the puppies have found a home and now it's her turn! Mary is fully grown at around 20lbs. She is fully vetted, spayed, and current on vaccines. She can't get enough love! She would enjoy a lap to sit in and someone that isn't gone for extended periods of time. She is potty trained and does well with other dogs, but she likes being the boss. We can only guess her breed as a beagle/ terrier mix because she was abandoned. Our vet guesses her age to be around one year old. We are only honoring prescheduled visits at this time, so please do not come to the shelter. Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, also known as Coronavirus, we are instituting new policies to help keep everyone safe.

Following Gov. Mike DeWine's guidelines, we will remain open as an essential business however we will be limiting appointments to only emergencies, such as patients that are sick or those that require daily treatments or care. If you are unsure that your situation constitutes as an emergency, please contact our staff before arriving to verify.

To better protect our clients and staff we have also changed how pets will be checked in and seen, as well as how medications, food, etc. will be purchased.

All clients are asked to please stay in their car when they arrive and call the clinic for further instruction. If you are bringing your pet for an appointment, a technician will come to your car to take all necessary information for your pets visit. They will then take your pet inside to see the doctor. After the doctor has completed their exam they will call you with their findings and recommendations. With your consent, treatment will then be administered. When your pets visit is complete a receptionist will contact you for payment. Lastly, your pet will be returned to you in your car with a receipt and any products purchased.

Prescription refills, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, food, etc. purchases will be curb side only. Please call ahead of time if possible so we can have it ready for you and reduce your wait time. We will gladly accept your payment over the phone as well. Just give us a call when you arrive and we will bring it to you.

URGENT!
Our Pig foster can no longer care for the abandoned Deer Creek pigs. Is there anyone out there that has room on their farm for these two? Message us if you can help. They are 200+ lbs. We are waving the adoption fee if you can transport them to their new home. It was originally believed that they were both female but we discovered that one is in fact a male.
