🥥Coconut Update!❤️‍🩹 Our foster kitten with the fractured leg has been progressing well! Through multiple visits to the vet, and many MANY flung and re-taped leg wrappings - she is able to put weight on her leg with little effort. She wants to run, climb and play like the kitten she is. She has a big heart (although still working on getting used to indoor life) and has been such a little fighter to overcome her injury. She will still need re-checks, plus her vetting to get her ready for adoption. Please continue to support our little Coconut as she completes her journey from stranded kitten with a fractured leg to loving companion for a forever home! 😻🏠 Thank you!!

We are so happy to share that Pillsbury was discharged from the hospital today and back home with his foster family 🩶 They’re working to keep him calm and resting, but he’s definitely feeling better and bounding with playful energy 🎉 Thank you to those that have shared and donated. As a foster parent, there is nothing worse than waking up to a kitten that can barely move. Sweet boy Pillsbury started limping a bit on Thursday, but was bearing some weight, so his foster put him on cage rest overnight only to find him very lethargic yesterday morning and he hadn’t touched his food or water 😿 We rushed him to Wilson Veterinary Hospital where he is hospitalized for supportive care to try and get his 105* fever down, and administer pain meds and antibiotics. X-rays showed no breaks or fractures, but there was swelling in his upper front leg joints and his WBC count was very high. His estimate for care is between $900-1,900. Please send lots of pawsitive vibes for this normally super energetic and playful little guy 🐾🐾

Our little Pectus Excavatum girl had an excellent checkup! Her xrays show her implanted metal plate is fusing nicely, and her chest cavity now has the appropriate shape and capacity for her growing body ❤️‍🩹She has been released from "crate arrest" and is enjoying stretching her legs! Now we just need to figure out what is causing her itchy face 🩹 The vets are trying to diagnose this stubborn rash - but she is just the happiest little girl even after all she's been through.
