You can’t look this good without putting in the work.
This is one example of why I need my horses to be relaxed and responsive. They have to be able to have multiple riders on different levels of riding get on and go without a hitch.
Nice job Mckenna Carpenter!
Riding Carlos San Chex “Rooster”
San Tivio Dream “Dreamer”
We like our horses to be able to lead themselves over obstacles they normally wouldn’t want to do unless YOU are leading them. This way it takes you out of the equation. It helps them build confidence in themselves. So when you’re riding, they have the confidence and trust in themselves and their rider when encountering new things. They will be more willing and less nervous.

When you can make a little neighbor girl so happy because of a horse YOU trained. It’s her “favorite” horse and she wants to ride him so bad. You can say “ok get up here with me” because you can depend on your horse. You know that this horse has the correct foundation in his training to be able to handle this new situation. And he does perfect! He acts as if he’s done this a thousand times! THIS is the kind of horse you should be striving for when you train. This is just one reason that drives me to do the best job with every horse that comes in my path. One good experience and that little girl is hooked! 🥰
