Let’s talk ear standing. Breeds who naturally have standing ears come up between the ages of 12weeks and 6mos.
After majority of teething, and cartilage development have occurred.
Some working dog breeders, with the intention of breeding functional working dogs will opt to crop and or dock in order to avoid hematomas, infections and or other possible injuries while in the field.

I do not believe in cropping or docking for show purposes.

As an example, I would like to showcase my imported male English Bull Terrier.
At 8 weeks, 12 weeks and now at 15weeks.
Taping can be a tool, however it can hinder the growth process of the cartilage and prove even more issues.

If they flop, let them.
You can not scream breed standards when the animal is physically unable to alter these things with growth.

The size difference is insane, these two are brothers from the same litter. The lilac is such a tiny little man! My goodness is he a little doll! and the first baby to open his eyes! I always say, it’s like meeting them for the first time again. ☺️

Fun fact about canin “runts” 🤏🏻🐶

Litter-bearing mothers have Y-shaped uteruses. Those at the center of the Y get the least amount of food and have the greatest chance of being runts, while those closest to the mother's blood supply get the most nourishment and have the highest birth weights. 🏋️‍♀️

This is absolutely False. ❌

The theory that the runt is positioned in the middle is based on the fact that the uterus of a dog is shaped like the letter "Y." The belief is that being in the middle positions the runt is farthest away from the nutritious blood supply necessary for normal development. 💗📈

This theory is untrue. ❌

When puppies are in the uterus, they move around and change positions constantly.

We hung out with one of our guardian homed girls “kay” and got some updated photos yesterday. She is looking great, she is a very well mannered and confident puppy!
We spent some time shooting and got some play time in.
When we do this, we get a good idea of how they are developing and what their personality is like. These things are critical for her future breedings. If we don’t spend time with them how will we ever know where to build from.
We will see her again in another couple of months, with another update then!
I appreciate our guardians for being such loyal customers and giving our babies a space in their heart.
The best part is knowing shes well loved when we return her home. 🙏❤️

Meet our very unique harlequin merle female coffee, she has olive green eyes and a blue heterochromia splash, perfect set ears at 11&1 o’clock, Round head and flat muzzle not to mention the nice bone on this girl. If she is anything like her Dam she will be bringing crazy beautiful muscle as well.✅📈
