Blue Skye Dog Club - Dog Walking Services Passionate about taking care of YOUR dog! My name is Kara and I am passionate about dogs. I have grown up with dogs and have one of my very own.

I am mostly trained with working with big dogs (Australian Shepherds) but all dogs are welcome. I try to always make every experience with a dog I am walking or caring for special and unique, whether that includes a longer walk or good play time. I can promise you that every dog I meet will be loved and rest assured, will always be taken care of and have a great time and fun experience if left in

my personal care. Dogs naturally love me, and I do not take this lightly. It is important to me to always take care of each dog and love them like they are my own.

Did you know that daily walks offer a bouquet of benefits that go beyond just exercise?

👉🏻Joint Health: Regular walks keep your dog’s joints limber and pain-free. Plus, it’s a gentle way to promote joint health for yourself, too!

👉🏻Weight & Body Condition: Maintaining a healthy weight is essential for both dogs and humans. Walks help shed those extra pounds, keeping everyone in tip-top shape.

👉🏻Mental Health: Strolling through the neighborhood or nature trails has a calming effect on the mind. It reduces stress and boosts happiness levels for you and your pup.

👉🏻Digestive Health: Regular exercise aids in digestion, preventing tummy troubles for both you and your four-legged friend. Say goodbye to digestive woes!

👉🏻Quality time and bonding: Walks offer quality time for bonding and with your pup! What’s better than that?

What are some of your favorite walking spots!?

🐾 Did you know dog walks are about more than just physical exercise? 🚶‍♂️ Your dog's walk is their daily adventure, their chance to explore the world around them. 🌍 Give them the gift of time to sniff around and discover the scents that fill their curious noses.

👃 When you want to treat your furry friend to a sniff break, simply loosen their leash for a few minutes. Let them dive into the symphony of smells that surround them. 🌿 These smells aren't just random scents – they're a source of mental stimulation and information for your dog.

🏡 It's their way of keeping track of what's happening in the neighborhood, marking their territory, and connecting with their surroundings. 🐾 A 'sniffer' walk can be surprisingly exhausting for your dog compared to a brisk 15-minute stroll without sniff breaks.

🌈 Make your walks more meaningful and enriching for your dog by giving them those extra minutes to explore through their sense of smell. 🐶 Embrace the joy of a leisurely walk, and watch as your furry friend engages with the world in a whole new way.

🔗 Ready to make a positive change in your dog's routine? Share your favorite moments from your next 'sniffer' walk and encourage others to do the same! Let's make every walk an adventure for our four-legged friends. 🐕✨

It's a cold one! Don't go out and walk your dog until your know how to safely do it. Here's some tips you might want to know when walking your dog in wintery weather ❄️

1. Keep Your Dog Warm: Warm clothing may seem obvious to you, but dogs can be affected by cold temperatures too. Only a few breeds have thick fur coats that can keep them warm, such as Siberian Huskies, but other dogs that are smaller, thinner-coated, young or elderly, or have a medical condition are more susceptible to hypothermia. Keep your dog toasty with their own coat or sweater and have a blanket on hand to wrap your pup in if extra warmth is needed.

2. Avoid Ice Melt Chemicals: Be sure to use pet-safe de-icers at home and avoid spilled antifreeze and de-icers along the walk. Always be sure your dog’s feet are thoroughly wiped clean of these irritants, as a simple lick or two could be toxic for your dog.

3. Know the Signs of Hypothermia: Be sure to use pet-safe de-icers at home and avoid spilled antifreeze and de-icers along the walk. Always be sure your dog’s feet are thoroughly wiped clean of these irritants, as a simple lick or two could be toxic for your dog.

4. Take Short, Frequent Walks: Dog walking on really cold days is no fun for anyone. Keep the walks short and go more often instead of venturing out for a long trek. Head back home if your pooch starts lifting their paws, showing anxiety, or trying to lie down. When temperatures are frigid, don’t go far from home. If your dog exhibits signs of hypothermia or frostbite, call the vet right away.

5. Stay Updated on Weater Conditions: Dog walking on really cold days is no fun for anyone.

Please make sure you share these tips with anyone who has a dog during these crazy, wintery days.

Ever wonder how to improve your dog walking skills? Now you can with these 6 essentials items that you should always have on hand! Whether you are taking your dog on a 20 minute walk or a 60 minute walk, these 6 things are guaranteed to make your walk better and more enjoyable.

1. Slip Lead Leash: These are the only kind of leashes I will use on a walk, especially if the dog is strong or not super good on leashes. They train the dog to stay by you, and I promise, it will make walking with that difficult dog way more enjoyable.

2. P**p Bags: No one wants you to leave your dogs p**p on the ground. If it isn't your house, you need to take this and clean up after your dog.

3. High quality treats: Work with your dog and make your walk fun with high quality treats. When they are doing something good or obeyed a command, treat them well. I suggest Vital Essential Treats.

4. Doggy Wipes: Rain or shine, your dog needs to go outside. These always come in handy for their paws.

5. Water Supply: Just like us, dogs get thirsty after a long walk. Take a travel bowl and a bottle of water with you, so that when you take a break, your dog can relax and drink up.

6. Dog walking bag: This is more for you than the dog, but you NEED it. Get something where you can carry all the essentials, even your phone. You won't regret it.

If this was helpful, share with a friend that you think needs it!
