Clear Creek Cat Rescue Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a 501c3 non profit dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming stray, injured, homeless and feral cats.

We rescue and rehome cats primarily in Southcentral Alaska from Houston to Homer. CCCR rescues 500 - 700 cats a year.

Journey. She a super chill petite calico cat. SO easy to share a home and a happy life with.

She is happy just hanging out with her people. And her cat friends. The mellow dog in the house is okay too. Journey loves to have a home and family.

If you sit down on the sofa, she would be very happy to jump up next to you and settle in for a nap. Or curl up next to her beloved human's head at night and lull them to sleep. Her love language is headbutts, which she gives with enthusiasm when she is in the mood. When she is feeling especially affectionate, she also loves to rub against everyone and everything.

She does an excellent job of keeping up with things at home; she explores every inch of her domain, including inside cabinets, drawers, and closets. Once she knows there are no gremlins in the hidden places, she no longer feels the need to show off her talent for opening doors and sticks to more traditional mellow cat activities. She does like to play with toys when her people are up for it; she has shown a great interest in string/ribbon toys and scratching posts.

Journey will need a safe outdoor area to enjoy the outside, and to exercise her great curiosity. She would like a kitty friend in her new home and is fine with a respectable dog. She would do great with older kids.

This very easy, mellow girl will fit into any loving mellow family. No fuss. No muss. Just a devoted loving girl.

Beautiful as a flower! Tough as nails! Independent as a wildseed and as determined to be herself as only this fluffy, sure Lily can be!

We think she may be only about 2 years old. But in that short time, Lily has learned to do things her own way and be competent in the natural world. She was found living outside on her own. She surely had been a family cat at one time because she knows the ropes when it comes to indoor living. Except for the most miserable weather, and some time inside so her person can play string games with her, outside is where she wants to be.

Lily must be the only cat. And she would be all the cat you could possibly need. To do rodent control and perimeter checks, to be there for you to pet her soft fluffy coat......until she doesn't want to be pet anymore. To play string a couple times each evening to hone her jumping and grabbing skills. And to be good company on rainy nights and lonely days. To be your girl. Not just any cute fluffy cat. But THE LILY! She is one of a kind.

Watching Squeaker glide across the floor reminds you why cats were revered and worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. Sleek and slender with an ivory cashmere coat, Squeaker understands his place in the world – being adored and served by his humans. Especially treats. He loves to be served treats!

He could be called “Sneaker” instead of Squeaker, because he sneaks out any open door in a flash, so he must have a safe outdoor space to explore and satisfy his curiosity. He WILL get out! He loves to discover everything about his world, and no loaf of bread is safe when he is investigating. He lets you know when dinner is late with a series of gentle squeaks, hence his name.

At just over a year, he has a calm demeanor with an occasional burst of youthful energy, running up the cat tree and playing with the other kitties and toys in his foster home. He doesn’t mind nice dogs who give him space, and while he would love to have other kitties around, he would do well as an only cat. He doesn’t care for being carried but will snuggle up close with his human and reward them with a soft purr, and even sleep curled up by their legs on the bed.

Sleek, beautiful Carmen is a treasure.

Friendly, affectionate, sweet, she has a great personality. She's the perfect cat for a family that would like a pretty, nice, easy going girl. She has done very well with the gentle dog in her foster home and would likely be fine with a companion dog. We are not sure about other cats. She has been in foster with her kittens, who she has been very protective of, and she was not happy with stranger cats being around her babies. But now that the kittens are older and leaving for their own forever homes, she may happy to share a home with another mellow cat.

Carmen is probably a couple years old. She would enjoy a family who will give her love and commit to being her family forever. She will need a place to go outside a little bit when the weather is nice.

Are you looking for a handsome fella to add some playful cat time to your house? Does your feline need a PURRific friend? Well lucky for you, and your cat, Valentino is packed and ready to go!

Valentino is a cat's cat, a purring machine, a guard for under the bed monsters, a fab mouser and a gentleman. And he is not your usual handsome orange tabby, he has some special qualities. He has blue eyes! Somewhere in his family tree there has been a Siamese or ragdoll ancestor.

This very special boy is a former colony kitty, turned house cat. He gets along with all cats, dogs and nice quiet older kids. He is seeking a quiet home where he can snuggle with other kitties and venture outside in a safe area. He enjoys bird watching, dog greeting, holding down the foot of the bed and crunchy treats. Valentino was returned to his foster with his girlfriend (Tiramisu) as their adopter had to change states and was not able to bring them with. He quickly got back into the swing of the foster home and was schmoozing with the 4 legged friends.

Cecelia is beautiful. And we've known since she came into rescue that she is special--a lovely spirit cat.

CC is every cat's best friend. She helps the uncertain ones feel secure and the shy ones feel wanted. She has a comforting nature for kitties. Nice dogs are fine with her too. With people, she tends to hang out more on the perimeter of activity. When things settle down, she is there, lounging on the ottoman or weaving around better her human loved ones. Petting is good but only on request. She'll tell you when to pet and when to stop petting. It's a kind of respect that she has for you; she won't bother you when you want your space.

CC has been an easy housemate from day one. She is the kind of kitty who just wants to live a quiet, happy life without chaos. She has great house manners; no problem with the litter box or conflict with others. She does take a while to get to the point of being totally comfortable in the house. But while she is getting used to the human pattern of activity, she will be helping the shy or lonely cat in the house feel like she has a friend.

We think CC is a couple years old. She has a magnificent coat that is silky soft. She has the look of a beautiful Nebelung cat, a long-haired Russian Blue with golden eyes.

Wanted! Playmate (and family).

Tux is in a foster home with two other cats that will not have anything to do with him. One is sassy and one is terrified......of everything. He had a good buddy to romp with and cuddle up with but he got adopted. And so now, this very social-with-cats boy is friendless.

Cats are Tux's people. He loves them. His whole social system is built around them doing cat things together with other friend cats. He is used to living with people and he's just fine in a home. He knows how to be a good boy and use his box, not make messes, maybe sometimes even do some goofy cat thing to keep them entertained. But he is still not very interested in being petted or picked up or any of that baby kitty nonsense. He can love his human family just fine without smoozing with them, with each still being respectful and devoted to the other. But cuddles.....not so much. (Although who knows what the future will bring.)

On the other hand, a cat friend is necessary! A buddy, a playmate, a forever companion who will share the cat secrets and love him like a brother.

Tux is a couple years old and started life outside in a colony of cats, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. And when the trappers came the family was spread out to different foster homes and then families. But Tux somehow has not yet found his own forever family who will love and adore him even if he is very shy. If only some happy kind people would give him a chance to fit into their home and make their cat the happiest kitty ever to have such an amazing loving best friend.

So here he is, still waiting, hoping that his real family will notice him with his neat coat and cute little dots on his nose and realize that he could be THE ONE.

Babushka. She had a home at one time. And then her family decided to travel, see other parts of the world and Babushka was left behind. The nice neighbors fed her and let her take refuge in the greenhouse. But she couldn't go inside their home because the resident cat didn't like other cats. So Babushka didn't have a house, or people who really loved her. At the age of about 10, she was without a family or a home of her own.

She is the sweetest girl! Very gentle and a great companion for kind humans. In a settled home, she fits in instantly. Happy to be inside, to have a warm bed and good food and a gentle hand to give her pets, she is ready to devote herself to a kind loving family.

Babushka has spent a good portion of her life outside and she does enjoy napping in the sun and rolling in fresh leaves and even hunting sometimes. She has no interest in leaving a happy home so a little yard that she can call her own would be great. It's time for this wonderful girl to get settled into her forever home for the next happy decade of her life.

CCCR Rescues Cats and Kittens

CCCR rescues and rehomes about 500 cats and kittens a year in Southcentral Alaska from Houston to Homer. We focus on helping those most in need--the lost, starving, injured and feral. Rescued cats are provided needed health care and placed in foster homes until forever homes can be found. We have no paid staff. We operate solely with the help of kind volunteers and the support of our wonderful rescue community.
