Pookie 🧸

Pookie is one of the most sweetest and gentlemen like cats you’ll ever meet! He will patiently wait by his bowl like a perfect little man waiting for his food, not pushy or demanding. You would have no idea that he was originally trapped as a stray in Houston. He shows a lot of gratitude for his human family! You won’t even have to be petting him and he will be contently purring next to you. He does LOVE pets though! He is still getting used to being picked up. He’s slowly getting used to that though and will sit for treats!

He loves the other mellow cats in his foster home and will even groom and cuddle them. He must have a kitty friend in his forever home. We aren’t sure about kids or dogs, but he’s pretty easy going and would probably be fine with slow introduction. We think he is about 10 years old.

Oreo is an angel! šŸ˜‡

She loves attention and gives so much love with all her heart! And she wants just as much love back too! Being combed is one of her favorite joys in life, along with Fancy Feast canned pate food! With a long coat like hers loving the comb is a great thing! This darling sweet girl is a talker and will let you know her desires with gentle head butts. Cat scratchers or a nice cat tree is a must as she is a professional at keeping her nails trimmed and sharp. There is a lot of killing of toy mice to be done! Due to past trauma, she doesn’t like being picked up and no fast hand movements above or near her head. If she doesn’t like something she will give a warning nibble, but never bites! Slow and steady wins the race with her. She does not like other cats but is good with the calm friendly dog in her foster home. She will need a quieter home with no young children. Oreo does love cuddling in your lap, a soft bed to lounge, and gentle scritches and scratches. Being around 8 years old sunbathing in the yard would be very appreciated and loved by her.

She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089!

Ronnie 🄳

Just look at the stunning coat pattern on Ronnie! Wow! The beauty of all that gray peeking through the black like the sun on a cloudy stormy day! And she is so soft, keeping every hair neatly groomed. And the ruff around her neck is like that of a lion! She must have been someone’s beloved cat at one time as she is such a sweet little girl. She loves sleeping cuddled up with her foster mom and she is adjusting to being around the other cats. She even gets the zoomies with the kittens when

she’s not basking in the sunny rays. Ronnie is a little shy with new people, but once she warms up and trusts she is all about the snuggles and endless pets. We don’t know how she is with dogs or kids, but she may do fine with an older mellow dog. A quieter home with older children would probably be fine too, just not the busy chaos of younger kids. She is estimated to be around 2-3 years old and will need a safe yard to go outside during the warm summer months. A nice kitty friend in her new home would be great too! She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089.

Carmen 🄰

Sleek, beautiful Carmen is an absolute treasure.
Friendly, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing, she’s the kind of kitty who fits right into your home and your heart. Carmen is a gentle soul who has done great with the calm dog in her foster home, and she loves other cats. Now that her kittens are grown and heading to their forever families, Carmen is ready for a peaceful life of her own, ideally with another kitty friend to keep her company.

She’s likely just a couple of years old and has a warm, steady personality that makes her perfect for a family looking for a sweet, lovable companion. Carmen would enjoy a home where she can soak up affection, relax with her people, and have safe outdoor time when the weather is nice.

Carmen is located in Palmer.

If you like your partners gentle, mysterious, and with a luxurious ivory coat… swipe right (or just call/text 720-563-7141 šŸ˜).

I’m Goldie, probably a ragdoll mix, definitely soft as a cloud, and blessed with extra-large paws for extra-large hugs. I’m looking for a calm, loving home and maybe a fellow feline to be my best buddy and show me the ropes. I’m quiet at first, but once I trust you, I’ll be your loyal companion for life.

My ideal date? Lounging in a sunbeam, gentle head scratches, and hanging out in a safe yard with my favorite humans when summer comes around.

If you’re kind, patient, and have room in your heart (and home) for one golden boy… I think we might just be a purrfect match.

Bibi and Tasha šŸ’•

These adorable kitties met in a foster home and they were immediate friends. Bibi had been in the foster home as the only kitty for a while. And since he came from a little colony of cats, he was totally baffled about how to BE as the only cat. He was scared of the world.

Then came Tasha. And Bibi went from hissing/swiping to accepting pets, meowing/trilling, and is learning by watching Tasha that humans are not so scary! The kitties were instant pals, and they have great fun playing and racing around the house. Although we didn't think they needed to be adopted together, they are so happy together that we hope some kind family will give them both a home.

Bibi is a very handsome fellow with a striking black and white coat. This is his first time living in a house, and he has really taken a liking to the comforts of indoor living, but is still skeptical of the other occupants (humans). He is still shy and skittish, but now regularly comes out from his hiding place in the cabinet to observe the activities of the house. He loves to play with catnip mice and feather toys - he knows the sound of the toy drawer and will come running as soon as he hears it! He has a knack for hunting and will take care of your mouse problem before you even knew one moved in. While he is not yet ready to sit next to you on the couch, he may join you for a movie (at a safe distance). He is particularly interested in Steve Martin films, so clearly this is a cat with good sense of humor. His ideal foster home would be patient as Bibi gets acclimated to living with people. We’re guessing he is 2-3 years old.

Tasha has an all black coat and is the definition of a move in ready cat. She befriended everyone in the house within the first day and took no time at all to make herself at home. She is the hostess with the mostest - she will greet your guests, check on their drinks, join you for dinner, and attempt to taste test whatever comes out of the kitchen (mostly unsuccessfully). She is very brave - she is not bothered by the doorbell or the dogs and comes running to investigate as soon as she hears the vacuum. Tasha is young, a teenager, certainly not over a year. She has a lot of energy! These two became such fast friends that we’d love for them to be adopted together. Tasha will thrive in any environment, but we think Bibi would do best in a quieter home where everybody can respect his personal space when he isn’t feeling social (probably no small children). Tasha settles right in with friendly dogs, Bibi likely would be ok with a calm dog that is not trying to befriend him. They are in Anchorage.

Lily is Alaska’s fluffiest little wilderness queen ā›°ļø

LILY IS SPONSORED by Hedra Andrew

She’s beautiful like a wildflower and tough like the terrain she grew up on. Only about two years old and already an expert in outdoor survival, Lily was found living completely on her own. She clearly had a home once, she understands indoor life perfectly, but the great outdoors is where her heart truly beats.

Unless the weather is absolutely miserable, Lily wants to be outside exploring, patrolling, hunting, and soaking up her freedom. She’ll come inside for string games (she never skips leg day), a quick snuggle, and a warm place to rest, but once she’s recharged? She’s back on patrol like the fierce little scout she is.

Lily is a one-cat show.
She must be the only cat in the home, and honestly, she’s all the cat you’ll ever need.
She’ll:
• Handle rodent control like a pro
• Patrol your yard with purpose
• Let you pet her soft, cloudlike coat (until she’s done)
• Play with you in the evenings to keep her skills sharp
• Keep you company on stormy nights and quiet days
• Be loyal in her own Lily-style way, independent but deeply connected

She isn’t just a cat. She’s THE Lily, strong-willed, competent, unforgettable, and ready to bond with her person.

Located in Homer but can catch a ride north for the right home.

Call 907-980-8898 if you want an adventure partner with a fluffy coat and a bold spirit.

Introducing Petunia 🧔

About 2 years old, Petunia is one of those special female orange tabbies you don’t see every day. And her personality is just as unique as her coat.

Petunia is a sweet, independent little lady who also loves to be part of whatever you’re doing. She’ll explore, hang out nearby, and then curl up for cuddles when she’s ready. She’s easygoing, friendly, and has gotten along wonderfully with all dogs and cats in her foster home.

If you’re looking for a companion who’s confident, affectionate, and delightfully involved in daily life, Petunia might be your girl.

Seeing a cat outside that looks like it doesn't have a home?
Wanna help the cat? Thinking of trapping the cat?

That's great! But first, PLEASE MAKE A PLANā€¼ļø

Please do NOT trap the cat and THEN start calling around to find a place for the cat to go. Rescues are loaded and if you have any idea that you have trapped a feral cat, very few rescues will take the cat. The ones that would are probably filled up and have a long waiting list. If the cat is feral, or acting feral, and you take the cat to the local shelter, you have handed the cat a death sentence. The local shelters do NOT adopt out cats who cannot pass the personality test. They have neither the room or the people to get the cat through a long socialization process.

Please do NOT set the trap and go to bed or to work. The trap should be checked at least every hour in these temperatures. The trap should have a piece of cardboard or cloth in the bottom of the trap (laid between the door to the trigger plate) to keep the cats' feet from freezing on the metal and cold ground. The trap should be covered with a blanket so the cat can maintain at least a little body heat till you take the trap inside.

Please do not trap the cat and leave the trap outside! Take it inside and completely cover the trap with a sheet or blanket to allow the cat to feel hidden and safe so they can calm down. Cats left too long in a trap may hurt themselves in the fight to get free; a cover can help relieve some stress.

Please do not trap cats who could be nursing kittens. If you take the mom away, the kittens will die.

If you don't know what you're doing, please contact a rescue to get more information on how to safely and humanely trap a cat. There are also lots of resources for information on the internet that can help you learn more do's and don't's of rescuing a stray or feral cat.

We love that you want to help and will do what's necessary to save a homeless cat. Rescue groups will help as much as possible. But please recognize that your call will be only one of many (sometimes there are 30 a day) that we get asking for help to save a cat. But we cannot take them all. Or even a small portion of them. Your best chance of getting assistance for the cat outside is to plan ahead. And remember that you may have to do more than set the trap. You will find a much more welcoming, hopeful response from most rescues if you are willing to not only trap the cat, but take it inside your home to foster at least for some period of time. We want to help them all. But we do not have foster homes where we can put them all.

Working together, we can make a huge difference in the lives of so many homeless cats. And the better prepared we are, the more cats can be saved.

Thanks to all those who make that effort to save lives. We appreciate you more than we can say.

Ting Ting 🄳

Ting Ting has officially decided that dogs are her favorite creatures on earth. While the other cats simply ā€œtolerateā€ the dogs’ presence, Ting Ting walks right up to them and nuzzles their noses, weaves through their feet, and acts like she runs the whole squad. And honestly… she kind of does.

She’s also a professional food thief. Cheese? Gone. Chicken? Vanished. Your dinner? Consider it a donation. We promise she’s not starving! She gets wet and dry food (maybe a little too much dry, let’s be honest) but she is absolutely a glutton with zero shame.

At home, Ting Ting is incredibly friendly and talkative with everyone. Most of the cats like her, and for the few that don’t, she still tries her best to win them over. At night, she sleeps on the pillow above the user’s wife like a tiny, purring guardian.

Ting Ting is sweet, brave, hilarious, and full of personality. A truly wonderful kitty… if she’d just stop stealing food. She will require a cat friend and safe outside access in her new home.

Located in Kenai but can get a ride for the right home.

Lo and Phobos available again for adoption! 🄰

About 8 months old with all the kitten energy. They don’t have to be adopted together (even though they would love it), but they do need to have a kitty friend in their new home.

Io is very friendly and affectionate to humans and other cats. She is playful. She does need some help brushing her long fur, which she doesn’t mind.

Phobos is a more independent guy . He likes other cats and humans. But he often entertains himself and is more play-oriented than his sister.
