Clear Creek Cat Rescue Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a 501c3 non profit dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming stray, injured, homeless and feral cats.

We rescue and rehome cats primarily in Southcentral Alaska from Houston to Homer. CCCR rescues 500 - 700 cats a year.

All of our black cats over 8 months are available through the weekend for half the usual adoption fee!

This is Amos, all littered with green stuff. We asked him to please get out of the catnip before the picture. But no, he wants everyone to see how beautiful he is when he is dusted with his favorite drug.

This great big handsome boy is beautiful yes, but he is also the coolest guy. So EASY. He is fine with the dog, and the cats, and the people. And even the kids find him welcoming for sweet talk and gentle pets. He even loves to be groomed! He knows how to be a great cat just by being his natural self.

He is a BIG BOY. Not fat but he has a big structure like a Maine C**n although his foster mom thinks he has a lot of ragdoll attributes, that comfortable competent way about him.

Amos is wonderful. He will need a safe place to go outside and enjoy the wonderful natural world when he chooses. A cat friend would be a welcome part of his new family. He is about 4 years old and, in case it hasn't been said enough, he is wonderful!

Four month old Ting Ting needs a home and if the home has a dog, along with a cat friend, that would be great!
Ting has officially decided that dogs are her favorite creatures on earth. While the other cats simply “tolerate” the dogs’ presence, Ting Ting walks right up to them and nuzzles their noses, weaves through their feet, and acts like she runs the whole squad. And honestly… she kind of does. She’s also a professional food thief. Cheese? Gone. Chicken? Vanished. Your dinner? Consider it a donation. We promise she’s not starving! She gets wet and dry food (maybe a little too much dry, let’s be honest) but she is absolutely a glutton with zero shame. As she gets older and realizes that she will no longer have to go hungry, we think she will give up that food obsession.

At home, Ting Ting is incredibly friendly and talkative with everyone. Most of the cats like her, and for the few that don’t, she still tries her best to win them over. At night, she sleeps on the pillow above the user’s wife like a tiny, purring guardian. Ting Ting is sweet, brave, hilarious, and full of personality. A truly wonderful kitty… if she’d just stop stealing food. She will require a cat friend and safe outside access in her new home.

It wasn't easy being a stray for so long. But Lynx made it through that hard time and now is making others' lives so much better.

Lynx is that special 'one of a kind' guy! He instantly lights up a room and makes everyone feel like family! He is Uncle Lynx of the family ready to share meowed stories of his past with all the kittens who need a little extra care. He adores the other cats, especially the kittens which he grooms all the time and watches over them as they play.

Lynx is a big guy weighing around 16 pounds! He does require a special diet that he loves! After being a hungry stray on the streets, he is not picky about his food at all. From some past injury, he sometimes has a slight limp in his back leg, but generally he doesn't seem bothered. He can still do those acrobatic leaps in the air and ball chases across the hardwood floors.

He's a talker! If you’re wanting a vocal cat, he is your guy. He loves his people and is content to sit on the couch or bask in the sun. He is estimated to be 5-6 years old but could be a bit older.

We discovered that he doesn’t like dogs at all, likely from some past event in his lost and alone life. So no dogs in his new home. But cats/kittens he loves, and must have feline friends in his new home as well as a safe yard to enjoy the grass and summer fun with his family. He is in Palmer.

🧡Happy Thanksgiving from Clear Creek Cat Rescue! 🧡

Today, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.
We are so incredibly thankful for our volunteers, who give their time, homes, sleep, patience, and love to help cats who need a second chance. You are the heartbeat of this rescue, and none of this would exist without you.

We are deeply thankful for our donors and supporters whose generosity makes medical care, supplies, safe shelter, and rescue missions possible. Every dollar, every shared post, every act of kindness truly saves lives.

We’re also thankful for our community! To the families who adopt, the people who watch out for strays in their neighborhoods, and everyone who cheers on our work. You help us build a safer, kinder world for Alaska’s cats.

And of course… we are endlessly thankful for the cats who enter our lives.
They arrive scared, brave, silly, broken, curious, spicy, gentle and every single one of them teaches us something about resilience, love, and trust. They are the reason we do what we do.

Just look at the stunning coat pattern on Ronnie!

Wow! The beauty of all that gray peeking through the black like the sun on a cloudy stormy day! And she is so soft, keeping every hair neatly groomed. And the ruff around her neck is like that of a lion!

She must have been someone’s beloved cat at one time as she is such a sweet little girl. She loves sleeping cuddled up with her foster mom and she is adjusting to being around the other cats. She even gets the zoomies with the kittens when
she’s not basking in the sunny rays.

Ronnie is a little shy with new people, but once she warms up and trusts she is all about the snuggles and endless pets. We don’t know how she is with dogs or kids, but she may do fine with an older mellow dog. A quieter home with older children would probably be fine too, just not the busy chaos of younger kids.

She is estimated to be around 2-3 years old and will need a safe yard to go outside during the warm summer months. A nice kitty friend in her new home would be great too!

Feisty is the sweetest night owl you’ll ever meet🖤

Despite his name, Feisty is actually a gentle, easygoing boy with a calm, steady personality. During the day, he can usually be found snoozing in his cozy cat house, enjoying a peaceful nap. But once the sun sets, this handsome shiny-black gentleman comes to life! Evening is his favorite time to explore, stretch his legs, and soak up all the love you’re willing to give.

Feisty enjoys affection, but he prefers to be in control when it comes to being held, he’ll happily accept pets, but he’ll wiggle free if he feels too far from the ground. He’s incredibly easy to live with and slips into a household routine with no trouble at all.

This playful night lover must have a feline friend in his new home, he loves having a kitty companion to join him in his quiet after-dark adventures. He can coexist with a mellow dog, but dogs aren’t really his preferred company.

Feisty would also thrive with safe outdoor access during the snow-free seasons, where he can explore and enjoy the fresh air alongside his family.

🍰 Fresh from the Oven: Tiramisu!

This little confection is finally ready for her forever home! After some time “baking” in foster care, Tiramisu (aka Terri) has risen beautifully. Golden on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. Once a timid little treat, she’s now stretching out on the couch, curling up on the bed, and serving up snuggles during movie nights.

We’ve carefully mixed in love, patience, and a dash of confidence and the result is chef’s kiss. Now she’s ready to be plated in a home all her own!

Terri’s recipe for happiness includes:
🥄 A calm, quiet home (no noisy kitchens, please)
🍫 One or more friendly cats to play tag with
🍰 A mellow dog or two who knows how to behave
☕ A safe outdoor space for when she’s ready to explore
🍯 Plenty of soft food, treats, and gentle affection

She’s starting to warm up to the young teens in her foster home, but anything younger or louder is a little too spicy for her taste.

At just 2 years old, Terri is the perfect balance of playful and sweet. She’s currently cooling on the counter in Soldotna, waiting for her perfect match.

Oreo is an angel! 😇

She loves attention and gives so much love with all her heart! And she wants just as much love back too! Being combed is one of her favorite joys in life, along with Fancy Feast canned pate food! With a long coat like hers loving the comb is a great thing! This darling sweet girl is a talker and will let you know her desires with gentle head butts. Cat scratchers or a nice cat tree is a must as she is a professional at keeping her nails trimmed and sharp. There is a lot of killing of toy mice to be done! Due to past trauma, she doesn’t like being picked up and no fast hand movements above or near her head. If she doesn’t like something she will give a warning nibble, but never bites! Slow and steady wins the race with her. She does not like other cats but is good with the calm friendly dog in her foster home. She will need a quieter home with no young children. Oreo does love cuddling in your lap, a soft bed to lounge, and gentle scritches and scratches. Being around 8 years old sunbathing in the yard would be very appreciated and loved by her.

Introducing Lucy!

She is a sweet, gentle girl with a soft spirit and a shy little heart. She loves to quietly follow her person from room to room, happy just to be nearby and part of the peaceful rhythm of the home. Lucy accepts gentle pets and enjoys the calm company of other friendly cats.

Originally found as a stray with her kittens, Lucy was taken to Anchorage Animal Care and Control. She raised her babies beautifully, and they were all adopted, but the shelter environment was overwhelming for her, and she shut down from fear. Now in a safe foster home, her true personality is starting to shine through.

Lucy will thrive in a quiet, patient home where she’s given the time and understanding she needs to feel safe. She blossoms with kindness, and having another feline friend will help her feel confident and show her affectionate side. She’s not super cuddly but with time and trust she was warm up.

If you’re looking for a tender little soul to share your space and your heart, Lucy may be the perfect match.

Goldie 🥰

Blue-eyed, soft as a cloud, Goldie seems to be a ragdoll mix. He has muted earthy colors blended into his ivory coat like most ragdolls, and he is extra special with huge paws.

Goldie loves other nice cats and will be the best buddy cat friend of some lucky kitty. And the sweet, gentle boy for a family who is ready to give him a whole lot of love. He will take some time to settle in and reveal how sweet he is. A cat buddy will be a help for that, to show him the ropes of the house. And once he knows you are his people, he would love a safe yard where the family hangs out in the summertime.

Goldie is quiet and hoping that there will be a quiet, gentle family to be his very own. He will need a friendly cat. We don't know about dogs or children. But kindness and love will be the key.

King Henry! 👑

This handsome brown tabby with his soft, medium-length coat truly lives up to his royal name.

King Henry came from a large cat colony at a trailer park in Anchorage, where a kind lady fed and cared for him for the past year. Despite living outside, it’s clear he once had a home and that he loves being part of a people and cat family. He has wonderful house manners and a sweet, affectionate nature.

King Henry is about 3 years old and has quickly shown us just how loving he can be. He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s a snuggly companion who adores attention. He gets along well with other cats, and while we aren’t sure yet how he’ll do with dogs, he has been around dogs and maybe a very gentle one would be fine. Chaos in the house is not his favorite thing so little kids or very rowdy noisy kids would not be good for him. He does love to go outside, as long as he can come back inside his loving home. So he must have safe outside access in his new home.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate cat who’s ready to leave behind his colony days and rule your heart, King Henry is the one. 🐾💙

CCCR Rescues Cats and Kittens

CCCR rescues and rehomes about 500 cats and kittens a year in Southcentral Alaska from Houston to Homer. We focus on helping those most in need--the lost, starving, injured and feral. Rescued cats are provided needed health care and placed in foster homes until forever homes can be found. We have no paid staff. We operate solely with the help of kind volunteers and the support of our wonderful rescue community.
