East Tennessee Give A Heart Rat Rescue Open its doors in 2012. Our goal is to save as many as we can and place them in to loving homes. We are a small in home rescue that takes in small caged animals. We have place hundreds of rats and other small animals into loving homes. We educate the public on rats and show that they make amazing pets. We work with the local animal shelters and other rescues too. We make sure that the rats are healthy and vet approved before adoptions!!

Large scale rescue incoming. I do not have much information at this time other than it was a colony bred for feeders. We will have everyone vetted and checked over once the come in later today. If anyone wishes to donate twords the care of this colony please contact us as all donations are much needed at this time ( these are not our pictures they were sent to us) we do not know how many there are we just know there are all different ages and genders. Alright guys we are pulling the community together again. So we've had a few various calls with some that need help with their pets some just need food others need medical care. We are starting a fund just for that. But as of right now we are in need of donations ourselves. Between vet bills and items needed it's a lot! Please consider donating! Just rescued the spiciest black kitty unsure of gender atm. Appears to have a broken leg. Will be heading to the vet soon! If anyone wishes to donate to the care of this kitty please label donations as spicy as that is the nickname we have given it. We have posted on the lost and found pages and websites as well as local shelters In case this baby does have an owner until then we will make sure it gets all medical help necessary. Update on Chip and Dale! They leave the vets soon! Both responded greatly to treatment! They still have a long road ahead of them but are doing much better! They will continue to get long term treatment and vet visits. But they are safe and feeling much better. We are still needing donors or sponsorships for them! Update on chip and dale! Chip is progressing very well to treatment dale as well but on a slower rate. We are still waiting on blood work results. But as of right now they are being treated for internal parasites, bumble foot, URI as well as skin treatment. They both are very under weight. But the vet has put them on a good course. Both will be staying with the vet for at least a few more days. As they have to have special breathing treatments and round clock care. They are no longer dehydrated! Update on chip and dale the chinchillas that were an emergency rescue. Let's start with a back story and this will be a trigger warning. Chip and Dale were found cage and all abandoned on a back Rd no one really knows how long they had been there. They were both dehydrated and underweight. Both are suffering from upper respiratory infections open sores and quite a few other medical issues the care for these 2 will be long term but we will not give up. I don't have any pictures I can post yet as everything happened so fast. They are still with the vet. And guys let me tell you we will need your help! The vet bill for these guys isn't going to be cheap and as I've mentioned long term! We are asking for donations or sponsorship for their care! We have also reported this to the animal cruelty division but it's a long shot as no one knows who abandoned them in the elements trapped in a cage. To sponsor these guys we have 3 tiers $25, $50, $100 this will be monthly. With sponsorships you get updates and pictures first hand as well as your name on their sponsorship tags. As for donations you can donate as much as you want and we still add your name to our donors wall! Please consider donating via PayPal at @ [email protected]
