East Tennessee Give A Heart Rat Rescue Open its doors in 2012. Our goal is to save as many as we can and place them in to loving homes. We are a small in home rescue that takes in small caged animals. We have place hundreds of rats and other small animals into loving homes. We educate the public on rats and show that they make amazing pets. We work with the local animal shelters and other rescues too. We make sure that the rats are healthy and vet approved before adoptions!!

Meet lil bit! She's a wildie unfortunately she's has something happen to her during her short life the vets are unsure if it was a birth defect or trauma but shes mostly paralyzed in her back legs. The vet does believe with lots of physical therapy and an operation she will regain functionality of her hind legs. While she's not available for adoption as we are hoping she will eventually be a release ( if not she will have sanctuary) this will be a lengthy process. And expensive we are asking for donations to help in this process. If you donate just put lil bit in the note section!
