Dynamic Acres - the name comes from my mare Dyna’s registered name: BSA Aireodynamic. Keeping her on a track kept her off the grass, gave her more movement and improved her hoof condition.

She was barefoot most of her life. This way I didn’t need to muzzle her: she hated the muzzle. I didn’t need to put her in a dry lot or stall where she would stand around, being bored & develop some bad habits out of boredom and anxiety. Instead, she was free to move around on the track, needed to walk to get food, water & shelter. My gelding moved right along, they had natural interaction with each other, didn’t have bad habits like cribbing, chewing, weaving, etc. He was barefoot too. They had no thrush , even in the wet months, because of their constant movement and change of surface. Adding different kinds of gravel improved their hooves even more (this was done in phase 2). Now…
The horses are in constant movement, which takes the pressure off, they are more relaxed. My goal is to redirect their energy (within my means), rather than confine them in a stall or restrain them. The track is a constant work in progress, it has been positive experience. I was able to optimize the space of my small farm by utilizing every corner of the property. Come and be inspired!

It’s really interesting to observe the horses while they are grazing.
Arlo was grazing while laying down until he noticed me and then stopped, looked up & glazed over a little. Horses are very subtle and horse psychology really helps to understand them better. He is very introverted so reading his body language is not always easy. Horses are so interesting!
