Molly has had a tough time lately; this sweet girl had been hanging around a local business for a while, not really belonging to anyone but the employees made sure she was fed/watered, and even arranged to have her spayed - yay!
Unfortunately, Molly recently turned up for breakfast with a ruptured eye. The employees who have been caring for her knew such a serious injury was more than they could manage, so they surrendered Molly to Forget Me Not. We never turn down a pet who can be given a great quality of life with treatment, so Molly was rushed off as a fit-in appointment with a cat surgeon in the next county, and they fit her surgery in the same day - also yay!
Molly already feels SO much better, and will heal up just fine to lead a long and happy one-eyed life. Our special needs fund, however, is gasping its last breath early this year. Normally we don't beg for donations to replenish Shadow's Fund until the end of the year, but it's been a pretty rugged and expensive 2024 so far. Just Molly's charges (after shelter discount) came to $950.
Anything you can donate to help replenish Shadow's Fund, for Molly, for this year's pets who came before her (we will list some of them in the coming days), and for this year's pets who have yet to arrive with urgent medical needs, will be appreciated. All donations are fully tax-deductible (our 501(c)3 EIN is 91-1996344).
Donations may be made on this post; via Venmo to ; via Paypal at paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/12929 or sending money to [email protected]; by mail or in person to Forget Me Not Animal Shelter, 49 W Curlew Lake Rd, Republic WA 99166.
Thanks for helping us to help them!
