We’ve had a few questions after our bomb cyclone and wanted to update everyone and allay any concerns.
The night of the winds was rather fierce with the whistling and cracking of the trees.
One of our metal sculpture pigs did try to fly away, but even during a bomb cyclone, pigs don’t fly.
The dogs were a little concerned during the windstorm but we had dedicated staff here to provide comfort. And then the next day for the dogs was business as usual. They wanted their food and their outside play time and walks, which they got with sunshine! They have not been adversely affected at all.
Unfortunately we are without power still, as are thousands of others in the area. But we do have a generator to provide some lighting and a few heat sources to continue to pamper our pooches and keep them comfy.
Baths are on hold for now as we are saving the energy for the heaters in the kennel.
We are without internet. We can check your texts and emails with our phones when there is service. With the spotty internet, that can affect our IG content as well, with loading pics etc.
We luckily only had one tree fall down but that affected our pastures and not the kennels at all. There are still some lines down on the road, and there are “Road Closed”signs to discourage heavy traffic on woods creek. But we are very accessible still. And hopefully we won’t be without power for long as the power companies are working hard out there!
While this is considered a headache for the people, the dogs are happy and safe and blissfully unaware of any issues as they go about their day 😊
