Just wanted to write a post to apologize to all of our customers for any inconvenience due to wait times for callbacks as our phones have been down, we are working through this, and I will update as soon as we know ! Thank you all !

WE ARE HIRING looking for an individual that would love to work with animals on a day-to-day basis. We are family owned and treat our employees as family here. We offer a very competitive pay. Good morning! Wanted to check in with everyone and thank all of our customers for the continued support! YOU GUYS are the reason we are able to do what we do here! As you may have heard, we are turning over our kennel business to our grandson, Steven “Pearson” Akins effective February 1. He will continue our policy of taking the very best care of your pet while visiting here!

FOR YOUR PLANNING PURPOSES, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:-
We will be slightly adjusting the daily dog boarding rate effective April 1, 2024.
Our daily boarding rate will be $34/day INCLUDING playtime.
The cat boarding rate will be $20/day
Baths/nail trims will remain the same as last year
We do offer discounts for multiple pets – please ask
NEWS/CHANGES
There is a 2-day minimum stay/charge. Remember, you pay for the day of drop-off but not the day of pick-up IF you pick up during the morning office hours.

RESERVATIONS
If you submit a reservation request and do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us at 724-530-7191 or direct email at [email protected]
Please notify us of any changes to your schedule as soon as possible

VACCINATIONS
Three current vaccines required – RABIES (with certificate of vaccination), DISTEMPER BOOSTER AND BORDATELLA. No exceptions!! Your vet may email us a copy at [email protected]
New/updated vaccinations must be done at least 10 days prior to arrival at the kennel.
We highly recommend Flu Vaccine, Worming and Flea Prevention Program

WE WILL NOT BE CLOSING FOR VACATION THIS FALL!
For your planning purpose, we will NOT be closing this year for our normal vacation usually the end of
October and beginning of November. We now have someone to help during those times, so we will
NOT be closing.
RE: DAILY RATE
We also want to clarify this year’s daily rate because there has been some confusion.
Current Boarding Rates effective 4/1/23 – 3/31/24
Dogs - $31/day without playtime or $34.00/day with daily playtime (discount for multiple pets)
$1.00/day (additional for intact males)
Cats - $18.00/day (discount for multiple pets)

FOR YOUR PLANNING PURPOSES, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1) - We will be adjusting the daily boarding rate effective April 1, 2023. This has been a difficult decision for us because we know we all are struggling with the economy right now. Our daily boarding rate will increase to $34/day INCLUDING playtime. If playtime isn’t desired, your rate will be $31/day.
2) - We will be closed for a spring break (maintenance) for Sat April 22 through Saturday May 6 (open Sun May 7 AM)
3) - Also, we will be limiting the number of pets we will be boarding due to lack of help. Please request your reservations as soon as you know. We will try our best to accommodate your needs.
Currently we have these dates/times scheduled full:
Easter (April 9) Weekend
June 23 and June 24
June 30 through July 2
Typically, the 3rd and 4th weeks of June and July are popular – book early if you can

NEWS/CHANGES

2) We will be CLOSED twice this year – April 22 thru May 6 for maintenance; and again, for our 2 week vacation sometime in October/November this year. We will post the dates on facebook and send out via email once we determine the actual dates for fall.
