About River’s Edge Farm

River’s Edge Farm is a farm of many specialties! We do a little bit of everything and continue to expand year after year! We enjoy utilizing everything our farm produces and would like to share all of it with you!

What we have going on;

Horses and a miniature donkey- other then manure (for sale) they do not “contribute” anything tangible to our farm, they do, however have their own unique personalities and bring lots of smiles to whoever they are around! We do offer riding lessons so please send us a message if you are interested or have any questions!

Chickens- We have egg laying chickens and meat chickens. We have meat chickens about 3 times a year but depending on popularity we could do more often.

Honey Bees- We have multiple honey bee colonies and will have honey available this spring.

Goldenrod Products- The Goldenrod plant grows locally here in Michigan and has so many amazing health benefits and we have harvested this plant right in our backyard!

Used to reduce pain and swelling(inflammation), Improves wound healing, Stops muscle spasms, Relieve joint pain, and arthritis, Help treat asthma and allergies, Helps treat sore and swollen throats, Help treat eczema and other skin conditions, Used as a diuretic to increase urine flow, Helps treat enlarged prostate,

There are several different ways you can use goldenrod and we have each form available:

Goldenrod Salve, Topical use on aches, pains, arthritic or sore joints, cuts and scraps

Lip balm, helps heal chapped lips

Infused Oil, use the same way as the salve

Tincture, which is a liquid extract made from herbs, such as Goldenrod and may be used topically or ingest, I suggest putting a few drops in a spoon full of honey or add it to your drink!

What the future holds;

The possibilities are endless and truthfully we are always coming up with new ideas! So who knows!!! But some ideas that have been thrown around are; pigs, cows, goats, and renovating antique furniture! and of course a lot more arts and crafts!!! In the Spring we will also have Honey from our bees!
